AEW DYNAMITE REPORT

It's Wednesday night, and you know what that means.  It's Daily's Place in Jacksonville Florida, it's Jim Ross, Excalibur and Tony Schiavone as our announce team, and it's Wednesday Night Dynamite.  

The announcers run down the card and Ricky Starks comes to the ring with Hook as Taz goes to the announce table.  We have an insert of Ricky putting himself over as he comes to the ring. Hangman Adam Page comes out next and the graphic shows he is undefeated this year and has poor interview skills. 

Adam Page vs Ricky Starks

They start by taking each other down in headlocks and breaking.  They then run the ropes and the sequence ends with Page slamming Starks.  Page then tosses Starks into the corner and stomps him down. Page rakes Starks's eyes across the top rope and tries to sling him across the ring, but Starks holds onto the rope until Page is finally able to sling him across the ring.  Starks goes to the outside and Page leaps over to land on him.

Hook gets in Page's face and Page ignores him and tosses Starks back into the ring.  Page picks up Starks with a pump handle slam and covers for a two count.  They start to run the ropes and Starks tosses Page into the middle rope.  Starks then works Page over in the ropes.  They move to the corner and Starks tosses Page to the opposite corner Hard.  He then gives Page a snap mare and works over Page.  Page hits a suplex on Sgtarks and Starks lands on his feet.  Starks runs at him and takes a clothesline.

They meet in the middle of the ring and Page nails a series of forearms and then tosses Starks to the mat. Page hits Starks with a brain buster and covers for a two count.  Starks avoids a sliding larient from Page they work in the corner. Starks is able to hit a Liger Bomb on Page and gets a two count.  Starls tries to set up for another and Page drives im to the corner.  They go the top and Page hits a fallaway slam off the top.  Page nails Starks with a clothesline and covers for a two count.

Page goes to the apron and goes for the buckshot and Starks dodges it and nails Page with a spewa.  Starks ocvers for a two count.  Starks picks Page up for a power bomb, Page escapes to go for dead eye, but Starks escapes. Page takes Starks down to the mat and locks on a submission where he grabs the ankle with one hand and head with the other and Starks taps out.

Your winner:  Adam Page

Page to watch his back, and Hook  block on Page from behind.  Starks and Hook start the beat down and Brian Cage joins in. As Cage sets up for a power bomb, the Dark Order rushes the ring and drives them off.

It's time for thew first commercial break.

When we come back, the Elite are arriving for their own trailer outside the arena. 

Next out is Penta El Zero Meido with his translator. We get an insert of Penta being translated talking smack to the Best Friends. Trent? Is out next with Orange Cassidy and we get an insert of Trent's return.

Penta vs Trent

They lock up and each takes the other down. Penta tosses his glove at Trent and Trent and Penta trade chops.  They run the ropes and Trent hits Penta's with a high knee followed by a back suplex. Penta rolls to the outside and then drags Trent out of the ring. Penta goes to leap from the ring onto Trent, but Trent is able to hit Penta with a clothesline. Penta goes outside and Trent leaps out of the ring on top of him.  They return to the ring, Penta hits Trent with a cross body followed with a sling blade and a cover for a two count.

Penta tries to hit a slam on Trent, who escapes and is able to hit Penta.  They then trade strikes in the middle of the ring. Trent hits a swinging DDT off the ropes and Penta follows with a Destroyer and we go picture in picture.

Penta has control during the commercials on the small screen and when we come back, Penta works over Trent in the corner.  When Penta goes for a back stabber, Trent holds the ropes to avoid it and then hits Penta with a half and half and covers for a two count.  Trent goes to the top and Penta is able to take control with kicks, setting Trent up on the second rope. Penta is then able to hit the back stabber and covers Trent for a two count. 

Penta tosses Trent hard to the corner and Trent almost goes up and over.  Trent comes out of the corner and Penta hits a pump handle slam and covers for a two count.  Trent rolls to the apron and Penta tries to set up the package pile driver. Trent escapes and they both go at each other with strike.  Trent is able to nail Penta with a pile driver on the apron.  Trent then hits a spear on Penta. 

Alex, the translator, stops Trent from pressing the advantage and tells Trent he sucks, his friends suck and his mom sucks.  Them's fighting words!  Trent grabs a chair and goes after Alex.  Alex goes in the ring and the ref stops Trent from bringing in the chair. Cassidy gets in the ring behind Alex, but Penta gets in the ring behind Cassidy. Penta takes out Cassidy with a kick, Alex naisl Trent with a mic, and Penta drops Trent with a package pile driver as the ref turns around, sees Penta has covered Trent and gets the three count.

We go to an interview Jim Ross had earlier in the day with the Pinnacle.

Jim asks MJF for his reaction to Jericho calling him out last week.  MJF says he may have a point on the scarf, not that he stole it from Jericho, but that it's old.  He says Tully gave him a gift or a new scarf. Wardlow then says that Jericho cut on the best promos of his caeer until he got to him because the minute Wardlow came out of his mouth, he knew he was doing something wrong.  

MJF then slams Jericho saying he surrounds himself with Bs so he looks like an A.  He then says MJF is the only person that has escaped from under his thumb. He then says he isn't great for 25, but he's just great.  MJF then says he already beat Jericho and that means he's better than him and he knows it. He then says to quit hiding behind Tyson, and they will take them down at Blood and Guts and he's a mark for Jericho's' spot.  Great serious promo from MJF.

We go to commercial.

When we come back, we get a recap of what has led up to Tay Conti vs Hikaru Shida. Tay comes out with the Dark Order who then leave as Hikaru Shida comes to the ring. 

Hikaru Shida (AEW Women's Champion) vs Tay Conti

They go to shake hands and decide not to and then lock up. They then trade blows in the middle of the ring.  Tay is able to lock on a headlock and then take down Shida with a hip toss.  Tay follows with a pair of knees to the  jaw and covers Shida for a two count.  Tay tries to lock on a waist lock, but Shide is able to get to the ropes. Shida rolls to the floor and Tay goes to the apron and tries a series of kicks that Shida dodges. Shida is able to kick Tay, which drops her to the apron, and Shida is able to hit the rising knee from the floor.

They brawl outside the ring and Shida hits an insigiri and a brain buster on the floor.  Shida rolsl Tay into the ring and Shida keeps her down with stomps. Shida locks in the bow and arrow and follows it up with a waist lock and pulls the arms back. Shida then sits on Tay's back, pulling Tay's head back as we go to picture in picture. Shida keeps working Tay over on the small screen.

When we go back to full screen, Shida brings Tay into the ring with a second rope suplex. Tay is able to get up and hit a pump kick on Shida and both women are down. Tay hits Shida with a clothesline and follows up with arm bar judo throws and follows with a German Suplex. Shida staggers to the corner and Tay hits her with a series of running kicks. Shida avoids a ripcord clothesline and tosses Tay into the corner.  She runs in, Tay dodges and puts Shida across the top, kicking Shida in the midsection and hitting a senton from the top, driving Shida off the top and Tasy covers for a two count.

Tay sets up for the DD Tay and Shida drivers her to the corner. Shida then hits the jumping knee strike followed by a Falcon Arrow for a two count. Shida puts Tay on the top turnbuckle and they battle on the top. Shida picks Tay up and drops her spine first on the top turnbuckle. Tay goes to the floor and Shida drops to  the mat. Shida tosses Tay into the ring and misses the Katana, Tay gets up and hits a pump kick on Shida. Tay is able to hit the Tay KO and covers Shida, only getting a two count.

Tay sets up for the DD Tay, but Shida reversed it and hit a reverse sit down pile driver for a two count. They get up and Tay hits a series of elbow strikes and Shida is able to paintbrush her, and picks uher up for a back breaker and a Katana for a three count. 

Your winner and still Champion, Hikaru Shida

Britt Baker comes out and sees the ranking for the women's division. She waits as she is moved to the number one contender's spot and Shida tosses something at her. Baker leave and we go to a video of Miro.

Miro says he still hasn't heard from Kip Sabian, but if you have a title, you have a problem, because he si coming for it. He mocks Sting and Darby Allin, and he asks what champion does he beat first.

Back in the ring, Tony Schiavone is there to interview the Inner Circle. We get to sing along with Jericho as they come to the ring with Jericho sporting s huge smile.  

Jericho says he heard the Inner Circle Squad being as loud as possible on a Wednesday night.  He then says there is a lot of energy with Blood and Guts coming up and he calls them the Pineapple again. Jake Hager has straws for the Pinnacle as they will be eating through a straw when they are done with them. OK< his actual verbiage was that they would be sucking their own meat through a straw.

Jericho then says it was weird that only MJF talks for the Pinnacle, but Santana interrupts and says that FTR have been name dropping and calling them out since they came into AEW.  They don't do anything until they have a crew, which is a bitch move.  

Jericho feels that there is no conviction to MJF, and it's from his high school drama class and things he's still signing show tunes on Rosie O'Donnell's show. Jericho says he sings show tunes and well and he wrote one about MJF. He mocks MJF and reminds the crowd he gave him a swirly, and he washed his ass with MJF's new scarf before Tully gave it to him.  At Blood and Guts will be a lesson in violence he will never forget.  

Jericho says that next week they will have an old fashioned parley where they discuss battle plans. And Jericho will beat the crap out of MJF and the Inner Circle will own their ass.

They flip off the camera as we go to commercial.

We come back to Billy Gunn coming to the ring. The graphic reminds us that Billy is undefeated in his last 17 matches. In the inset, Anthony Agogo says he is here for the big money and QT Marshall says he's here to beat Gunn and the rest fo the Nightmare Family. 

QT Marshall comes to the ring with Nick Comorado and Eric Solow, and Billy takes out the other members of the Factor and tosses QT into the ring.

Billy Gunn vs QT Marshall

Billy gives QT an old fashioned clubberin' in the corner and then gets knocked onto the floor. Billy keeps up the beatin' outside the ring. Billy tosses him back in the ring and QT is able ot hit some kicks from the mat and get to his feet. They run the ropes and Billy picks up QT and tosses him to the mat. QT rolls to the floor. Billy keeps up the clubberin' with one eye on Comorado.

Comorado is finally able to toss Billy into the ring post and Billy's two sons appear and attack Comorado and Solow. They brawl out to the ramp to the parking lot. QT is in the ring and Billy rols in to take a series of blows from QT in the middle of the ring.  

QT hits a pile driver on Billy and covers for a two count. He then starts nailiong Billy with blows in the middle of the ring until Billy is able to get to his feet after QT gives a crotch chop to the crowd.  Billy drops QT and goes for the famouser. QT avoids it and tries to go for a Diamond Cutter. Billy avoids it and QT rolls out onto the entryway.

Billy follows him and tosses him back in the ring. As QT grabs the ref, Agogo comes from the back and nails Billy with his Body Blow.  Billy is crumbled on the mat and QT picks him up and hits a Diamond Cutter and covers for the three count.

Your winner: QT Marshall

QT brings a wooden chair into the ring and before he can attack, Dustin Rhodes from from the bvack and gives QT a beat down. Dustin has a bull rope and as QT rolls out of the ring, Agogo gets on the apron.  As Dustin is squaring off, Comorado gets in the ring. Dustin is able to see him and nails him in the head with the wooden chair...which shatters and does nothing.

Refs rush the ring to keep the two apart and the only question is WHO will Dustin have the bullrope match with.

We go to commercial so they can clean up the ring.

When we get back, we go to the Elite's Trailer and Don Callis puts over his team. Matt then puts over that they they drove business in Japan and puts themselves over. They then mock Mjon Moxley and Eddie Kingston.  Kenny Omega has something to say to their haters, but they are interrupted with a horn honking. We cut to outside where Mox and Kingston are in a truck that they ram into the Elite's trailer.  Mox and Kingston go into the trailer with a pipe and the Elite have taken off. Mox and Kingston head back to their truck and we head back to the arena.

Will Hobbs comes to the ring and Taz heads back to the commentary table. They are followed by Christian Cage and we find out Team Taz has been banned from ringside due to their actions earlier in the show.  

Powerhouse Will Hobbs vs Christian Care

They lock up and Hobbs forces Cage to the corner and then breaks clean. They hook up again and Hobbs tosses Cage to the entrance ramp. Cage comes back in and is able to get a waist lock. Hobbs reverses it and slams Cage to the mat. Cage is able to get up and slaps Hobbs.  Cage rolls to the outside, with Hobbs chasing him, andCage is back in the ring first, and is able to nail Hobbs as he tries to get back in the ring. Cage then hits a diving drop kick into Hobbs, and Hobbs retaliates by takes Cage down with a clothesline.  

Hobbs then tosses Cage over the barricade into the crowd.  Hobbs then grinds Cage's face into the barricade as we go to picture in picture. Hobbs keeps control on the small screen.

When we go full screen again, Hobbs is holding Cage and Cage is fighting his way out. Cage tries to get the Killswitch, but Hobbs muscles his way out of it. Hobbs then tosses Cage across the ring and follows by standing on Cage's midsection. Hobbs goes for a Doctor Bomb, but Cage gets his feet up to nail him as he comes down.

Cage then throws hands and when Hobbs tosses Cage to the corner, Cage slides to the side and hits the pendulum kick. Cage gets a diving uppercut from the second rope and a cover for a two count. Cage then stands on Hobbs in the ropes, drops to the floor and gives him a big ol' lap.  When Cage gets back in the ring, Hobbs hits him with a spine buster and covers for a two count. Cage goes to the top and they struggle until Cage gets a power bomb. He follows with a frog splash and covers for a two count. 

Cage goes for a spear and Hobbs is able to just slam into him. He drags Cage to the corner, nits a hip attack and covers for a two count. Hobbs picks up Cage, but Cage is able to get behidn and blimbs onto Hobbs Back and get a sleeper hold. Hobbs pulls him over a bit and runs Cage into the turnbuckle.  Hobbs tries to hit a stampede on Cage, but Cage reverses it, hits the Killswitch and covers Hobbs for the three count.

Your winner: Christian Cage

Ricky Starks comes out to check on Hobbs and we get a rundown of next week's matches.  

We then get a tapes promo of Jade Cargill talking about how all of the managers are tryign to sign her. She says she doesn't need a manager, but if someone wants to sign her, they better bring a lot few money.  I think this is a solid idea, as Cargill struggles with her live promos. 

We go to commercial.

When we come back, it's main event and Jungle Boy is coming to the ring with Luchasaurus. Darby Allin then walks to the ring with Sting, so I miss Darby skateboarding to the ring.  

Let's take a minute while I point out that a year ago, no one would have thought this is a main event.  

Darby Allin (TNT Champion) vs Jungle Boy

They lock up and go to the corner. We get a clean break, a partial lock up and Darby brings JB down to the mat and covers, JB gets out and Darby hits a crucifix for a one count.  Darby slaps on a headlock and the work the move on the mat.  JB is able to escape and rolls into a pin for a two count. JB holds Darby's arm to keep him down. As they work up JB takes him down again.  

They work up again and JB takes Darby down with an arm drag hip toss. They run the ropes and Darby is able to climb the rope and take JB down with an arm drag. JB gets up and tries for the snare trap, but Darby is immediately in the ropes. 

They bump each other with aggression and Darby takes down JB with a down leg and rains down blows on him. Darby is admonished by the ref and JB rolls to the outside.  Darby joins him and they brawl around the ring, fighting over the barricade and we go picture in picture. JB keeps control and fights back into the ring on the small screen. They see saw back and forth through the commercials. 

When they go full screen. Darby runs into JB in the corner, only to be met with a series of blows and finally a toss into the turnbuckle from JB. JB hits a suplex and holds Darby for a two count. He keeps the hold on and suplexes Darby again for another two count. 

JB tries for another suplex, but Darby is able to hit a series of back elbows to get out. Darby then is shoved to the ropes, flips over JB to hit a stunner to bring JB and down and covers for a two count. Darby slams into JB in the corner twice, and on the third time, JB gets his feet up to nail Darby as he runs in. JB hits a reverse body sissors, slamming Darby to the mat and Darby rolls out of the ring. 

JB then hits three topes on Darby in a row.  JB picks up Darby to roll him into the ring. Darby stays on the apron and when JB tries to suplex him in, Darby holds him for the guillotine on the top rope. Darby lays in with stomps and then climbs to the top to coffin drop onto JB on the apron.  They both drop to the floor.

They slowly struggle to get up.  Darby rolls into the ring and Luchasaurus comes over to help JB back into the ring before the 10 count.  Sting is not happy about this and they jack jaws.  They then throw hands on the stage and they battle to the back. IN the eirn,g JB and Darby are throwing hands.  JB hits a brain buster on Darby and then follows with a running elbow to the back of Darby's head. He covers for a two count. JB then locks in the snare trap. Darby is fading as he crawls to the rope, and finally gets there.  JB then locks on the surfboard and then puts on the snare trap again.  Darby is able to escape by gouging JB's eyes.

JB then starts raining down blows on Darby as they are both on the mat. They get up, and JB tosses Darby to the ropes, takes him over with a sunset flip. Darby escapes and locks on the Last Supper and holds JB down for a three count.

Your winner and Still Champion: Darby Allin

Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page come in and beat down both JB and Darby.  Lance Archer shows up fight until they hit the double low b low on Archer. Sting shows up with the bat and Sky and Page leave the ring and we are out fo time.
