We’re beginning Dark Elevation with Hangman Adam Page taking on Spencer Slade. Page teases the Buck Shot immediately. Paul Wight tells us Slade wears headgear, because he’s legally deaf and wears hearing aids. Several lariats later and Page is the winner.
Dr Britt Baker, DMD, comes to the ring with Rebel to wrestle Tesha Price. Baker is trying to rack up wins to guarantee she’ll climb to the number one spot in the rankings. Price is able to get a couple near falls, but Rebel hands over the glove. A Kryptonite crunch and the lock jaw, and Price has to submit.
Jurassic Express are number two in the tag team rankings, and that will probably not change as they face Jay Lyon and Midas Black. Luchasaurus hits Lyon with a Spicolli Driver and Jungle hits Black with a Burning Hammer on top of Lyon, and they get the pin.
The Hybrid 2 take on Vary Morales and Andre Montoya. Navarro Death Roll on Montoya gives Hybrid 2 the submission win.
Paul Wight is hosting The Acclaimed on his Spotlight segment.
Will Team Taz be able to work together as they wrestle Stone Rockwell and Mike Magnum? Yea, probably. Stone Rockwell is able to wiggle out of a double suplex, which causes Cage and Starks to jaw jack a bit, but Cage hits Rockwell with a powerbomb as Starks spears Magnum out of the ring. Cage prepares for the Drill Claw, but tags Starks in instead and helps him hit Rochambeau for a Team Taz win.
Abadon comes to the ring scaring her opponent, Skye Blue. Paul Wight refers to Abadon as a character in a kinda breaking kayfabe way. Cemetery Drive (or is it Cemetery Driver as Tony says) is enough to give Abadon the win. (Sidenote: the Abadon mystique doesn’t work as well in a daylight setting.)
Orange Cassidy is by himself to face off with Prince Kai. Prince Kai hands a note to the ring announcer with a custom introduction, which just gives Orange Cassidy the time to put on his elbow pad. Prince Kai basks in the imaginary adulation as the bell rings. Beach Break, and it’s over. And the elbow pad goes back in the pocket.
Private Party is out to represent the Hardy Family Office to take on Alex Reynolds and Colt Cabana. -1 has a camera for Sammy Guevara’s vlog. The whole Dark Order is staying ringside to keep an eye on Matt Hardy. But Matt Hardy provokes the Dark Order, and the referee, Mike Posey, sends the Dark Order members to the back. Private Party focus their attack on Alex Reynolds. Cabana and Reynolds hit a couple finishers on Marq Quen, who is not the legal man, and Isiah Kassidy sneaks in and school boys Cabana for the win. Postmatch, Cabana says he was in the ropes.
Paul Wight has a running gag of not feeding, paying, or trusting the referees, or zebras as he says, which is pretty fun.
Thunder Rosa is facing Shawna Reed. Thunder Rosa wins with a move that was more Michinoku Driver than package piledriver, like Tony calls it.
The Best Friends are out next to take on Kit Sackett and Hayden Backlund. Trent still has bruising visible on that previously injured right bicep area. The piledrivers give the Best Friends the win. And Tony calls another move a package piledriver when it’s not.
Vickie Guerrero has the mic and wants to introduce Nyla Rose and Madi Wrenkowski herself. Justin Roberts is allowed to introduce their opponents, Leyla Hirsch and Ryo Mizunami. Paul Wight calls Vickie “living proof that Eddie Guerrero was the toughest man ever,” which is a funny line. Nyla Rose is not happy that Wrenkowski tags herself in and loses the advantage. Leyla Hirsch cinches in the armbar and gets the tapout win. How about that… I was expecting Nyla Rose to destroy Madi after that, but it didn’t happen. Strange. A match next week, probably then.
A serious Austin Gunn is out, representing the Nightmare Factory, to take on Aaron Solow, representing the Factory. Nick Comoroto is out with Solow and lifts the ring steps onto the stage, giving QT Marshall somewhere to sit. Comoroto tries to interfere and distract, but Colten does his best to stop. Solow sets up for his variation of the pedigree, but Austin reverses and connects with Quick Draw and gets the win.
I’ll admit I like QT Marshall in this trainer/manager role infinitely more than as a wrestler.
The new team of Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page face two more representatives of the Nightmare Factory, Carlie Bravo and Dean Alexander. Sky locks in a heel hook on Alexander and gets the win. Ethan Page gives Carlie Bravo an Ego’s Edge for good reason.
Dasha is in the back with Austin Gunn, and apparently, family means everything. Billy Gunn comes in and tries to finish the interview, but QT Marshall interrupts too. Marshall tries to say that the Gunn boys are like family to him, but Billy says he took it too far. Marshall cold cocks Billy, and asks if that is taking it too far.
Main event time as the Sydal Brothers team with Danny Limelight to take on Kenny Omega, MT Nakazawa, and Konosuke Takeshita in trios action. Omega goes over to the announce desk to complain that he’s on Elevation. Tony and Paul note that Omega and Nakazawa are tagging each other more and leaving Takeshita out of the match. Omega's tiro is able to isolate Limelight, who fights out of the snapdragon suplex and wiggles out of a One Winged Angel attempt. Mike Sydal tags in, but gets crotched on the top rope and tied up in the tree of Woe. A huge coast to coast dropkick and high angle German suplex from Takeshita gives Team Omega the win.
And that’s it from Elevation.
