TRIPLE H & STEPHANIE MCMAHON DISCUSS WWE'S MOST WANTED TREASURES ON GOOD MORNING AMERICA RECAP

By Mike Johnson on 2021-04-16 15:33:00

Triple H and Stephanie McMahon appeared on ABC's Good Morning America yesterday to promote this Sunday's debut of WWE's Most Wanted Treasures on A&E, speaking with  Michael Strahan.

Strahan noted they they have been married for almost 20 years and wondered what it was like for them to collaborate on the project.  Stephanie said it's always great to work with HHH.  She said they have a blast.  Strahan referred to her as a legend.  She said HHH was absolutely a legend but she doesn't know if she's earned that yet.  HHH said that 20 years of dealing with him makes her a legend and they all laughed.

Strahan breaks down the concept of the show as they are hunting iconic missing pieces of WWE history.  HHH said he's a big history buff and a believer in the idea that you have to know where you've been in order to know where you are going.  So, as the business have evolved over the years, there are things that you just looked upon as being used one night ended up becoming iconic to others and through no fault of anyone, wind up misplaced.  A lot of the stars over the years have auctioned things off for charity and they have gone on their way.  Now they are trying to bring them back.  He said WWE is like music in that it takes you back to a certain time in your life.  It connects with you on an emotional level.  For fans to be able to be taken back to a certain time in their lives is so meaningful.  He thinks that the stories fans will hear along the way.  The fans they will meet along the way, all of that will be something meaningful.  He said it's an incredible journey for every piece they find.

They showed a clip of a crazy collector's home with Mick Foley visiting.

They returned to the studio with Michael Strahan showing off The Undertaker's ring jacket, John Cena's spinner necklace and Rocky Johnson's entrance robe.  Stephanie McMahon noted that Ata Johnson, The Rock's mom, made that gear.  HHH said that Bianca Belair makes her own gear, jackets and tights.  There's a lot of pride and love put into all of the gear talent gear.    She pointed out the history of Bianca Belair vs. Sasha Banks as being the first African-American women to headline a Wrestlemania against each other and how important the gear from that event could be in the future as they look back on history.

They closed with Strahan plugging the Steve Austin Biography special and WWE's Hidden Treasures this Sunday on A&E.
