THREE CLASSIC CRUISER TITLE MATCHES: WWE 205 LIVE REPORT

Tonight's edition of WWE 205 Live featured three class WWE Cruserweight Championship matches, so here are the original reports from those bouts:

WRESTLEMANIA 34 - Cruiserweight Title Tournament Finals: Cedric Alexander vs Mustafa Ali

They quickly go to the mat, but back up and Cedric takes Ali down with a shoulderblock.  Ali catches Cedric with a quick flying headscissors, and it quickly gets heated as they shove each other, then Ali slaps Cedric, and Cedric spinkicks him.  Cedric with a flying headscissors and dropkick for 2.  Ali connects with a dropkick, but Cedric dumps him to the floor and wipes him out with a dive.  Back into the ring where Cedric covers for 2, then drills Ali with a charging European uppercut.  Cedric nearly backdrops Ali into next week for 2.  Ali catches Cedric with a series of clotheslines, a high kick to the face, and a rolling X Factor gets 2.  Cedric gets a standing Spanish Fly out of nowhere, then they both go to the top rope where Ali gets a top rope Spanish Fly of his own.  Ali covers for 2 and then goes up top for the 054, but Cedric sweeps his legs out and sends him down face first onto the floor.  THAT was a nasty, nasty bump.  Cedric looks concerned, but Ali looks up and tells him to come on, so Cedric rolls Ali back into the ring and covers for 2.  Cedric is relentlessly stomping Ali out against the ropes, then he picks him up and goes for the Lumbar Check, but Ali slips out the back and hits an inverted Frankensteiner.  Cedric is on another planet as Ali hits a tornado DDT and quickly goes up and hits the 054, but Cedric gets his foot on the bottom rope.  Ali goes back to the top fo ranother 054, but Cedric rolls out of the way and Ali hits hard.  Cedric drills Ali with a hard back elbow, then another, and Ali is clinging to Cedric's ankle, and Cedric says to stop because this is enough, and a third spinning back elbow sends Ali down.  Lumbar Check finishes it.

WRESTLEMANIA 35 - WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy vs. Tony Nese

Buddy tries to get the jump on Nese, but Nese manages to turn the tide, using his speed to outmaneuver the champion.  Nese with the cartwheel off the apron into a big right hand.  Nese goes to the top, but Murphy runs up the corner, gets Nese in a fireman's carry, and drops him on the top turnbuckle as we go to commercial.

We're back, and Nese is still in trouble, but he blocks a tornado DDT and suplexes Murphy into the corner.  Nese with an awesome leg lariat lays the champion out, Murphy tries ditching Nese to the apron and goes for a deadlift superplex, but Nese knocks him backward and hits a springboard moonsault for 2.  They go back and forth for a bit until Nese connects with a palmstrike, Murphy blocks a superplex and goes fo ra sunset bomb, and takes him out with a twisting crucifix slam for 2.  Nese counters Murphy's Law to a victory roll for 2, but Murphy gets a TKO over the knee, Nese comes back with an inverted Frankensteiner, and Nese heads to the corner.  Murphy unloads a flurry of strikes, Nese comes back with some of his own, and they continue going back and forth until Murphy turns Nese inside out with a clothesline.  Nese gets a leg cradle driver for 2, then takes Murphy out with a dive when he rolls to the floor.  Nese goes back to the top and hits the 450 splash, but Murphy is out at 2.  Murphy hits Murphy's Law, but Nese gets his foot on the bottom rope at 2.  Murphy goes for the facewash, but Nese hits a superkick, a German suplex into the corner, and a facewash of his own for 3.

WWE NXT TAKEOVER 31 - NXT Cruiserweight Championship Match:  Santos Escobar versus Isaiah Scott

They lock up and Escobar with a wrist lock.  Scott with a take down.  Escobar with a wrist lock take down and a rana but Scott rolls through to his feet.  Scott with a head scissors take down.  Scott with a waist lock but Escobar counters into a victory roll for a near fall.  Escobar with a leg sweep and cover.  Scott with a leg sweep and cover.  Both men prepare for a punch but stalemate.  Scott with a kick and Escobar with a forearm.  Scott sends Escobar over the top rope ot the floor.  Scott with a moonsault off the apron.  

Scott goes to the turnbuckles and hits a corkscrew moonsault.  Escobar rolls to the floor when sent back into the ring and Scott with a Fosbury Flop.  Escobar rolls back to the floor.  Scott works on the arm using the turnbuckle.  They return to the ring and Scott gets a near fall.  Scott works on the arms and splashes onto the arms.  Escobar gets to the ropes and Scott kicks Escobar.  Scott with a back drop into a short arm scissors and Escobar gets to the apron.  Scott goes to the apron and he wrings Escobar's arm into the middle rope.  Escobar drops Scott onto the top rope and then Escobar kicks Scott to the floor.  Escobar with a suicide dive.  

Escobar with a clothesline.  Escobar with an elbow drop for a near fall.  Escobar with kicks to the chest and he chokes Scott in the ropes.  Escobar slaps Scott and kicks him in the head.  Escobar threatens to spit in Scott's face but Scott covers his mouth and Scott with punches.  Scott with a discus clothesline and a running European uppercut into the corner.  Scott with a European uppercut off the turnbuckles to the back.  Escobar goes to the floor and Scott with a kick.  Scott with a second kick from the apron.  Scott with a rollling flatliner for a near fall.  

Scott goes up top but Escobar goes to the turnbuckles.  Scott gets to the mat.  Escobar with a kick but Scott with a drop kick and a hanging DDT for a near fall.  Scott wtih a half nelson and Escobar gets to the ropes.  Joaquin WIlde and Raul Mendoza come to the ring and Wilde distracts the referee while Mendoza trips Scott and Escobar with a shoulder breaker for a near fall.  Escobar is dropped on the top rope crotch first by Scott and Scott with a springboard rana to Escobar onto Wilde and Mendoza.  Ashante Thee Adonis comes out and goes after Wilde and Mendoza.

Scott with a back elbow from the apron and he goes for a rolling move but Escobar with a super kick and Phantom Driver for a near fall.  Escobar with a suplex and he holds on for a second one.  He holds on and goes for the Three Amigos and hits it.  Escobar goes up top and misses a frog splash when Scott moves.  Scott stomps on the forearm and he hits House Call and then goes to the turnbuckles for a 450 splash and he gets a near fall.

Escobar sends Scott to the floor.  They go to the apron and Escobar blocks a half and half suplex on the apron.  Escobar knocks Scott back into the turnbuckle.  Escobar with a butterfly facebuster for the three count.

Winner:  Santos Escobar (retains championship)
