WWE President Nick Khan appeared on today's The Colin Cowherd Podcast and during the appearance, stated two major female stars would be returning soon.
Khan stated that Becky Lynch would be returning in "the not too distant future" after taking time off to have her first daughter with Seth Rollins this past December. She last wrestled at Wrestlemania 36, defeating Shayna Baszler.
Even more interestingly, Khan stated that UFC Hall of Famer Ronda Rousey would be returning. Rousey's existing WWE deal was announced as expiring on 4/10/21 previously, so Khan's statement would indicate she and the company have come to terms on a new agreement. Khan stated Rousey would be back, describing the return as happening at a "certain period of time."
Rousey took time off after Wrestlemania 35 in 2019 to concentrate on starting a family and will be host a new forthcoming series for ESPN+.
