New Japan Pro Wrestling held its Sakura Genesis show today in Ry?goku Kokugikan.

The full results were:

• Hirooki Goto, Kazuchika Okada, Tomohiro Ishii, Toru Yano and YOSHI-HASHI def. Dick Togo, EVIL, KENTA, Taiji Ishimori and Yujiro Takahashi
• Aaron Henare, Great-O-Khan and Jeff Cobb def. SANADA, Shingo Takagi and Tetsuya Naito

Zack Sabre Jr. pinned Tanga Loa to win the first match, likely earning himself and Taichi a rematch for the IWGP Tag Team Championships.

Aaron Henare, formerly known as Toa Henare, was unveiled as the new member of the United Empire before the third match. He pinned SANADA to win the match. The United Empire continued to attack Tetsuya Naito’s knee after the match.

After Hiroshi Tanahashi and Satoshi Kojima defeated Bad Luck Fale and Jay White (Tanahashi pinned Fale), Tanahashi accepted White’s challenge to a NEVER Openweight Championship match.

In his first match back after tearing his ACL last July, YOH defeated Yoshinobu Kanemaru to win the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships alongside SHO. It is the fifth time the duo have held the titles.

In the main event, Will Ospreay defeated Kota Ibushi to win the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.

Ospreay called out Kazuchika Okada after the match but Shingo Takagi came out as well. Ospreay said he would face Takagi first then Okada second.

Big Japan Pro Wrestling held its ninth Ikkitousen Deathmatch Survivor show today in Sendai PIT.
