WWE's Performance Center released a video today focusing on Brian Kendrick's work for the company outside the ring, revealing that Kendrick has retired as a performer for the company:
In recent months, Kendrick has been working as a Producer for the 205 Live brand.
Kendrick, 41, was originally trained by Shawn Michaels and Rudy Boy Gonzalez, breaking into the business as Spanky. He was signed to a WWE developmental deal and assigned to Memphis Championship Wrestling. After being released, he became one of the top stars for Ring of Honor and toured internationally, including Japan's ZERO-ONE.
Kendrick returned to WWE several times, including a run with Paul London as the WWE Tag Team Champions and later as The Brian Kendrick with Ezekiel Jackson as his partner. He also had a return run with ROH and wrestled for TNA. Kendrick returned to WWE as part of 2016's Cruiserweight Classic and was soon part of the revived Cruiser division.
His role as a Producer is something of a no-brainer as he has always been considered a great mind for the business and has was well regarded as a trainer when he operated his school in California.
