New Japan uploaded the full title reveal onto its YouTube channel.
Kota Ibushi is the title’s first holder as he was the last man to hold the IWGP Heavyweight Championship and IWGP Intercontinental Championship.
Ibushi will attempt his first defense of the title against Will Ospreay at Sakura Genesis on April 4.

• Daichi Hashimoto, Daisuke Sekimoto and Kazumi Kikuta vs. Ryota Hama, Takuho Kato and Yasufumi Nakanoue

The two Ikkitousen Deathmatch Survivor matches will determine the winner of each block. Masaya Takahashi and Violento Jack both have a 2-0 in A block, while Takumi Tsukamoto (2-0 record) leads Drew Parker (1-1 record) in B block but a victory for Parker would give him the tiebreaker.

Big Japan has announced it will hold a six-day tour in Hokkaido from May 4 to May 9. The BJW Tag Team Championships will be defended on the first day of the tour and the BJW World Strong Heavyweight Championship will be defended on the second day of the tour.
Yuko Miyamoto is confirmed to compete on all five days on the tour, while Brahman Kei and Brahman Shu are confirmed to compete on the last three days.
Big Japan has confirmed Leatherface will wrestle at its July 11 show in Hokkaido. The show will be held outside.
DDT Pro-Wrestling
DDT Pro-Wrestling has announced Soma Takao will challenge Yuki Ueno for the DDT Universal Championship at its show on April 5 in Korakuen Hall.

The match will be Ueno’s fifth defense of the title. Since defeating Chris Brookes to win the title at Ultimate Party last November, he has made successful defenses against MAO, Shota, Yukio Sakaguchi and Yusuke Okada.
DDT also announced the return of its King of DDT tournament, which is set to take place in June and July this year.
The first round will be held on June 10 in Shinjuku FACE, the second round will be held on June 20 in Korakuen Hall and the final will be held on July 4 in Korakuen Hall.
