Tonight, Arik Royal makes his first defense of his newly won ACTION championship, against the man that took his money in the main event of “$2500 vs Hair” last year (that show ruled, btw). Suge D’s new group/faction/movement/cult/truth, The Good Hand, will be sure to make their presence felt tonight as well, as Angelus Layne is across the ring from Erron Wade and Kevin Ryan & Suge take on Akira & Brett Ison.
Up now on https://t.co/c1pM4JDElA is this crazy show!

Action’s new highlight reel lead-in, featuring some of the best highlights of Action’s Covid-era shows, is really good. Scott Hensley is your announcer. Dylan Hales and Jumpin’ Johnny Mosley are on commentary tonight.
Match 1: Angelus Layne vs Erron Wade
Angelus Layne joined forces with The Good Hand last month, to really double down on her feud with ACTION owner, Matt Griffin. Erron takes it right to Layne after she gets in his face at the bell. Layne hit with a flurry of strikes and kicks, whipped post to post, shotgun dropkick but she catches a kick and dumps him on his head. Angelus kicking and punching methodically Wade around the ring. Big suplex and she’s asking Erron to get to his feet to receive headbutts and a corner DVD. Layne has this pin locked up but she pulls the pin at two. Erron wake up briefly for some seated strike trades but she gets up and hits a running knee for the definitive pin.
Winner: Angelus Layne
Layne gets in Matt Griffin’s face on her way out of the ring...but what argument can he make here? Angelus just Brock Lesnar’d her opponent tonight. Wade brought the fight in those opening seconds and landed a LOT....but Angelus was here to make a statement. Brutally good stuff.
.@erronwade showed more guts than @MattTheMouth ever will. still slaughtered the poor kid though. thank your mentor for that, Erron. https://t.co/hFobb9pYnp

Match 2: Nolan Edward vs Adam Priest
Since last month, Adam Priest has won the New South Pro Wrestling’s HOSS Tournament and lost his intended rematch with Fred Yehi. Priest is furious about this but waives his non-existent “exhibition clause” for tonight’s match against Nolan Edward. This is SORT OF a rematch of the finals of the Scenic City Invitational Tournament (which was a triple threat with Shawn Dean where Edward pinned Priest). Some solid graps war in the early going, Priest manages to lock up the arm and shoulder. Edward with a pin escape but immediately gets rolled up for two. Priest drags Nolan to the outside and we’re suddenly trading shots. Nolan catches him with a blue thunder bomb coming back in and a suplex into the buckle for two. Priest rockets Nolan’s face into the buckle and hits a brain buster for two. Priest slowing it back down with a suplex and some elbow drops. Priest gets too into yelling at the ref and Nolan gets a few licks in with the distraction. Priest just gut shots him back down. Priest stalking Nolan down around the ring with kicks but walks into a gut buster. Nolan winds up but runs into a back elbow. Big german with a bridge from Priest for two. Nolan with a second wind, hitting clothesline but Priest gets one of his own and we’re double down. Nolan catches Priest with a corkscrew facebuster. Priest dodges a snake eyes and hits a piledriver. Priest wants the frog splash but Edward hits the crucifix snake eyes but Priest rolls to the outside. CUE THE GOOD HAND: Suge D and Kevin Ryan charges to ringside from the front door and attacks AKIRA. Nolan is briefly distracted and Priest catches a rollup for the pin.

BUT WE’RE NOT DONE! Nolan quickly rolls out to help AKIRA but Angelus Layne attacks him with a chair. Adam Priest is up at commentary fuming about the chaos but makes a point to grab the mic and tells everyone that HE WON. It’s all chaos as Brett Ison comes from the back, shoves Priest aside and joins the fray! Nolan and Angelus have fought to thee back and who knows where they went (yes, let’s give them another round). Looks like we’re going right into the next match and it’s gonna be no DQ!
Match 3: KOBK (“The Pitbull” Brett Ison & “The Death Samurai” AKIRA) vs The Good Hand (Suge D & “Brain Dead” Kevin Ryan) (No DQ)
Suge and Ryan look terrified as the bell rings and KOBK begins the beat down. Ryan getting face wash after face wash. Suge throws a water bottle but that just annoys the Pitbull and he eats shots. AKIRA spikes Ryan in the face with the water bottle. AKIRA drags Kevin outside while Ison administers the beat down to Suge in the ring....we got to a picture-in-picture of both fights happening in tandem. THIS IS A NICE TOUCH, ACTION. Brett hits the ringside area to powerbomb Kevin Ryan to the apron. AKIRA grabs a shiv from his ring gear and comes at Kevin, Suge cuts that off with a roaring elbow that sends him to the outside. Ison with forearms for both Hands, a saito suplex for Suge and a huuuuuuge Muscle Buster to Kevin Ryan. Unfortunately, Ison must have not watched the tape on Kevin Ryan and the brain dead one kicks out. Suge posts AKIRA on the outside. Ison sets up the ripcord backfist but Ryan shoves him back to the rope, where Suge is waiting with a roll of duct tape. Suge crucifixes Ison and they tape his arms to the ropes. AKIRA tries to stop it but Ryan with a low blow. Suge tapes up Ison’s legs. The Good Hand makes Ison watch while they administer a beat down to AKIRA and stomp out his hand. Ison rips free but the Good Hand cut that off and tape him up even more. AKIRA trying to fight back but Ryan and Suge are maintaining the assault. Dylan Hales calls this torture porn. Suge with a kick to the crotch. Good Hand with a Rude Awakening/Double Stomp combo. AKIRA won’t stay down for the count so Kevin Ryan blasts him with a chair. Suge stands on AKIRA’s hands while Ryan blasts him repeatedly with a chair. Johnny Mosely abandons commentary to try to free his friend Brett Ison while The Good Hand blasts AKIRA with a chair-assisted running knee. AKIRA kicks out at 2.9! Matt Griffin tries to help free Ison while Suge wedges a chair into the corner and Ryan meteoras AKIRA’s head through it. AKIRA is down for the three this time while Ison is screaming from the ropes.
Winners: The Good Hand
”I TOLD YOU” says Suge on the mic, preparing to go into a promo but The Good HAND are immediately run off by a chair-wielding Cabana Man Dan, who chases them back out the front door of the venue. CMD has scisssors and frees Ison from the ropes. Ison immediately checking on the prone and limp AKIRA facedown in the center of the ring. AKIRA makes it back to his feet and he is FURIOUS.
And to think all it took was duct tape and strategy to bring down the "mighty" #KOBK.

So this was one big damn crazy 2-match segment. Nolan and Priest were telling a good story through their matchup, Priest able to cut off every rally Edward tries to muster. Nolan was getting ready for those big finish shots when Good Hand came to ruin KOBK’s night. The “tag” match was wild bell to bell. AKIRA got a good tease in for his death match roots before being of the receiving end of a truly UNCOMFORTABLE beat down. The Good Hand were definitely aiming to give KOBK the “BK” side of that offer here and they damn near succeeded. This might have been the wildest thing I’ve seen in Action since I’ve started following them regularly. The Cabana Man Dan run in at the end was a nice tease that maybe Suge will have to give him just a little more attention in the months to come as well. Pure chaos. This was awesome.
Match 4: “The Heathen” Logan Creed vs Graham Bell
Bell has a huge test tonight against the monstrous (and VERY over) Logan Creed. Bell clearly knows this as he levels Creed with two spears and a tope suicida. Creed shakes it off and trades shots with the Merc at ringside. Bell sent inside and eats a big boot as soon as he gets to his feet. Bell eats the buckle and dragged to the bottom rope for another boot to the face. Bell is resilient and reverses a kick into Creed’s face. Dive to Creed and the big man is hurting. Bell chop blocks the leg of Creed but gets swatted out of another tope. Creed coming back in over the top and Bell spears him again, causing Creed to hold that leg in pain. Bell sees this and trying to work a cloverleaf and grind down those tree trunks. Bell catches a kick and clubs Creed across the knee again for a two count. Bell tries a springboard across the ring but Creed swats him out of the sky. Creed stomps Bell’s face into the mat for a two count. Bell throwing hands and HITS A DAMN F5 ON LOGAN CREED! Running knee to the chin and Creed out again. Bell with a diving back elbow for two. Creed gets his hand on Bell’s throat....CHOKEBREAKER but it’s across that hurt knee! Creed gets to the top but Bell springboards up to him. Creed gets the throat again and chokeslams Bell off the top rope across the whole ring!!! Bell has the presence of mind to kick out and Creed is TIRED., slapping life back into his limb. Trading punches, Bell staggered, manages to dodge a body splash. Bell gets Creed back to the top to rana him off it. Bell going for the spear but Creed catches him into his full Nelson facebuster for the instant pin.
Winner: Logan Creed
Well, if this didn’t punch Creed’s ticket to a title shot, I don’t know what will. This was hard-hitting and all-energy. Bell was a VERY game opponent tonight and make Creed work his tail off to get this win. Hats off to both guys, this ruled. Watch it.

Main Event: “The Acegawd” Arik Royal(c) vs Matt “Sex” Sells (for the ACTION Championship)
Here we go! Will Arik Royal get his win back, defend his title and cut off the recent victorious streak of Matt Sells? The champ, as always, is ALL SWAG though the crowd is firmly behind Sells. Royal makes sure everyone knows he’s been champ for 34 Days and Counting (“NOT MY CHAMP” chants the crowd). Sells goes for the palm strike right away but Royal was ready for it. Sells tries to trap Royal in the face smash that put Jaden Newman to sleep a few months back. Royal powders but Sells gives Chase. Royal tries to powerbomb Sells to the apron but Matt dodges stuns Royal with a kick to the face. Royal rolled back in and Sells wraps up the Royal and HUMPS HIS FACE INTO THE MAT ABOUT 50 TIMES. Sells goes for the pin but Royal is out. Sells to the top and hits a double axe handle. Sells favoring his knee (especially after all that work pounding Royal into the canvas). Royal is up and throwing knees but he’s wobbly after all that head trauma. Royal with a tackle for two. Royal stomping a mudhole and tearing at his arm. Sells is hurting while Arik lays in some chops and twisting up the hand. Arik ripping at Sells hair as he uses it to toss Sells across the ring. Sells stuns with a knee and get a sunset flip for two. Sells firing up, cutter for two! Commentary talking about being worried about the ring integrity after the number of big men taking big bumps on it through the night. Both guys using each other to work to their feet, trading shots, Sells with a spinning back fist but Royal hits Sells with the palm strike that bested him the last time they met. Sells with Royal’s Kobe face smasher. Sells with a springboard cutter and sets up for his own palm strike. Out of the blue, Jaden Newman distracts Sells at ringside. He’s not supposed to be here! Royal tackles Sells, turns him inside out, landing on that injured knee. Royal takes the pin!
Winner (And Stilllllll): ArikRoyal

Security chases Newman from the building as Royal celebrates his title win. Sells is unbuckling his knee pad as he’s looking rough from that final shot. Arik HasScot Hensley hold up his title AC Mack style and reminds every one how damn good he is. Next up for Royal is a showdown with Daniel Makabe at “Have Fun, Be Sad” in Tampa a couple weeks.
And that’s it for “Royal vs Sells II”! There’s so much good and wild stuff on this sprint of a show. Look, just watch it. 5 matches spanning 80 minutes and some of the craziest action I’ve seen from this promotion since I started covering them. This was awesome. Fire up IWTV (Sign up if you need to, PROMO CODE “ACTION”) and watch this show. Action returns in a couple of weeks with a co-prompted show with Southern Underground Pro for “Have Fun, Be Sad”. This will PROBABLY also rule and you should likely watch that. Until then!
Looks like Matt Sells did injure himself in that main event but Jaden Newman wasn’t done:
