NJPW'S FIRST ROAD TO SAKURA GENESIS, DDT IN KORAKUEN HALL AND MORE FROM JAPAN

DDT Pro-Wrestling held a show in Korakuen Hall today.

Yuki Ueno will make his next defense of the DDT Universal Championship at DDT’s show on April 4 in Korakuen Hall. His opponent is currently undetermined.

DDT confirmed the full field for its upcoming Ultimate Tag League tournament in May. The full field is:

• Kazusada Higuchi and Yukio Sakaguchi
• Jun Akiyama and Makoto Oishi
• Konosuke Takeshita and Shunma Katsumata
• Antonio Honda and Chris Brookes
• Daisuke Sasaki and Yuji Hino

The tournament will take place under round-robin rules. It will begin on May 9 in Korakuen Hall, continue on May 15 in Sendai and May 23 in Kobe before ending on May 27 in Shinjuku FACE. There will be one show held without live fans in attendance.

Chikara, Nabe Yakan, Sanshiro Takagi and Yukio Naya defeated Antonio Honda, Kazuki Hirata, Super Sasadango Machine and Shinya Aoki to win the KO-D 8-Man Tag Team Championships against.

DDT announced it will hold Wrestle Peter Pan 2021 in Fujitsu Stadium Kawasaki, an outside soccer stadium.

Jun Akiyama made his first successful defense of the KO-D Openweight Championship against Kazusada Higuchi in the main event.

Danshoku Dieno challenged Akiyama afterwards. The match will take place at DDT’s show on April 11 in Korakuen Hall.
