DOUGLAS WILLIAMS RETURNING TO UK'S REVPRO IN MAJOR WAY

Revolution Pro Wrestling has announced Doug Williams will wrestle for the company on its shows throughout 2021.

Williams, one of the most respected English veterans with a career spanning over 25 years, announced his decision to come out of retirement on March 15.

Williams is advertised for 17 shows all over the country from July 4 until December 27. The full list of shows is:

• July 4 in Cockpit Theatre, Marylebone
• July 18 in Marble Factory, Bristol
• July 31 in Commemoration Hall, Huntingdon
• August 1 in Cockpit Theatre, Marylebone
• August 8 in The 1865, Southampton
• August 15 in 229 The Venue, London
• August 21 in Victoria Warehouse, Manchester
• September 4 in Trafalgar Warehouse, Sheffield
• September 5 in Cockpit Theatre, Marylebone
• September 19 in York Hall, Bethnal Green
• October 3 in Cockpit Theatre, Marylebone
• October 10 in The 1865, Southampton
• November 7 in Cockpit Theatre, Marylebone
• November 20 in Commemoration Hall, Huntingdon
• December 5 in Cockpit Theatre, Marylebone
• December 18 in Mountbatten Centre, Portsmouth
• December 27 in Priory Centre, St Neots

RevPro wrote on its website: “We are delighted to announce the return to RevPro of one of British Wrestling’s greatest ambassadors Doug Williams.

“The decorated veteran has agreed to a series of dates through the remainder of the year that will see him not just compete against the very best but also take on a mentorship role within the Contenders Division.

“Williams will look to pay forward over 27 years of experience competing at the very highest level in a decorated career that has seen him capture gold all over globe. We are extremely excited to have his level of experience and ability back in RevPro and know he still has all the skills to achieve whatever goals he sets out to achieve!”

Williams might be known to international fans for his work in Ring of Honor in America and Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan throughout the 2000s.

Williams was scheduled to compete in the two-night Pure Championship tournament last April but the events were cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic.
