SAL CORRENTE REGAINS RIGHTS TO HISTORIC WRESTLEREUNION EVENTS

Sal Corrente, who promoted the original WrestleReunion events in 2004 and 2005, officially regained the rights and possession to the footage from those events this month.  The rights to who had control of the footage ended up in court several years back with the court ruling that Live Nation retained the rights through 2020.  With that time period having now elapsed, Corrente was able to secure the return of the rights to the events, which he promoted in Tampa, Florida in January 2005, Valley Forge, PA in August 2005 and Davie, Florida in September 2005.

The WrestleReunion events feature a number of unique pieces of wrestling history, including:

*The final time Tommy Rogers and Bobby Fulton teamed as the Fantastics.

*The only meeting of The Midnight Express and Team 3D aka The Dudley Boyz in the ring.

*The final in-ring confrontation of Bruno Sammartino and Larry Zbyszko.

*The final Terry Funk vs. Dusty Rhodes singles bout, featuring Mick Foley as the guest referee.

*The only time Lance Russell and Joey Styles worked together.

*The last time Barry Windham and Ron Bass faced off in a ring in Florida.

*The Funks & Mick Foley vs. The Midnight Express for the only time ever.

*The last time Tully Blanchard challenged for the NWA World title, facing Jeff Jarrett.

*The last time Terry and Dory Funk Jr. teamed to challenge for the NWA Tag Team Titles, facing America's Most Wanted.

*The fever dream main event of Dusty & Dustin Rhodes & Mike Graham vs. Kevin Sullivan & Abdullah The Butcher & CM Punk.

*All three members of The Midnight Express & Jim Cornette vs. The Fantastics & The Rock N' Roll Express, managed by Bobby Heenan.

*Team 3D/The Dudley Boyz's first post-WWE appearance.

The tape library also includes 10 sit-down interviews that were produced with many never released, including a Jimmy Garvin and Precious interview as well as Buddy Rose and Col. DeBeers interview.  There may be additional content as well beyond the three WrestleReunion events and the interviews.

There is no word yet how the material may be distributed or monetized, but that is something Corrente is seeking to work out in the days ahead.
