2021 NEW JAPAN CUP FINAL IS SET, EARTHQUAKE CAUSES NJPW INTERMISSION, DRAGON GATE GLORIOUS GATE AND MORE FROM JAPAN

New Japan Pro Wrestling held its twelfth New Japan Cup tour show today in Xebio Arena Sendai.

The full results were:

• Great-O-Khan and Jeff Cobb vs. Juice Robinson and Yuya Uemura
• Bad Luck Fale, Chase Owens and Jado vs. SHO, Toru Yano and YOSHI-HASHI
• BUSHI, SANADA and Tetsuya Naito vs. DOUKI, Taichi and Zack Sabre Jr.
• Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kazuchika Okada and Kota Ibushi vs. Jay White, KENTA and Yujiro Takahashi
• New Japan Cup semifinal (right bracket): Will Ospreay def. David Finlay
• New Japan Cup semifinal (left bracket): Shingo Takagi def. EVIL

The show was paused for about 30 minutes due to the earthquake which occurred but continued after safety checks.

The moment the earthquake hit was captured on cameras. Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kazuchika Okada and Kota Ibushi stayed ringside during the safety checks to calm the crowd.

Will Ospreay defeated David Finlay in their New Japan Cup semifinal match. He will face Shingo Takagi in tomorrow’s final, who defeated EVIL in their tournament match today.

Dragon Gate

Dragon Gate held its eighth Glorious Gate tour show today in Kobe Sambo Hall.

Dragon Gate has announced Punch Tominaga will challenge Keisuke Okuda for the Open the Brave Gate Championship at its The Gate of Passion tour show on April 21 in Kobe Sambo Hall.

Also on the show, Taketo Kamei will return with a new attire and name. He has been out of action since January due to a shoulder injury.

Dragon Gate will hold its ninth Glorious Gate tour show tomorrow in Nagoya Congress Center. The full card is:
