BIG JAPAN IN YOKOHAMA, HEAT ON IBUSHI FOR MERGING IWGP TITLES?, DDT PRO WRESTLING AND MORE FROM JAPAN

Dragon Gate held its seventh Glorious Gate tour show today in Kobe Sambo Hall.

Keisuke Okuda proposed a rule for his opening match that he would need to defeat Punch Tominaga three times to win, while Tominaga only needed to defeat Okuda once. Tominaga ended up winning the match.

Tominaga then challenged Keisuke Okuda for the Open the Brave Gate Championship. Okuda accepted but a specific date has not been given for the match.

Eita was unable to compete in the Royal Sambo match due to a strained lower back.

Dragon Gate will hold its eighth Glorious Gate tour show tomorrow in Akaiwa Sanyo Fureai Park Gymnasium. The full card is:

New Japan Pro Wrestling has announced the full card for its twelfth New Japan Cup tour show tomorrow in Xebio Arena Sendai.

The full card is:

New Japan’s website has teased dissension between Kota Ibushi and his teammates over the unification of the IWGP Heavyweight Championship and IWGP Intercontinental Championship.

A blurb from the preview of tomorrow’s show reads: “While ordinarily, Ibushi, Okada and Tanahashi would make an unstoppable golden trio, much discontent is still circling over Ibushi’s history making title unification, and the seeds of discontent may be ripening in this bout.

“How will Ibushi be received by his teammates tonight, and indeed by the Sendai crowd? BULLET CLUB are always happy to leap on any form of dissent and take advantage; will that influence how this bout plays out?”
