LOCAL ADVERTISING SPOILS APPARENT NJPW RETURN

Local advertising for New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Sakura Genesis show on April 4 includes Bullet Club member Hikuleo, potentially spoiling his return to Japan for the first time since 2019.

Hikuleo’s last match in Japan was on the second night of Wrestling Dontaku 2019 on May 4, 2019. He then left New Japan on excursion to Revolution Pro Wrestling in England but his excursion was cut short due to the ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic.

His last match for RevPro was on March 8 last year, teaming with El Phantasmo in victory against Dan Moloney and Robbie X. He has been regularly competing on NJPW STRONG since last September, including qualifying for the New Japan Cup USA on the most recent episode.

Hikuleo is Tama Tonga’s brother and the adopted son of former WCW and WWE star Haku.
