New Japan Pro Wrestling

New Japan Pro Wrestling held its ninth New Japan Cup tour show today in Korakuen Hall.

The full results were:

• DOUKI, El Desperado and Minoru Suzuki def. Jado, KENTA and Taiji Ishimori
• Great-O-Khan, Jeff Cobb and Will Ospreay def. Taichi, Yoshinobu Kanemaru and Zack Sabre Jr.
• BUSHI, SANADA and Shingo Takagi def. Hirooki Goto, Ryusuke Taguchi and Yuji Nagata
• Second round match (bottom right bracket): David Finlay def. YOSHI-HASHI
• Second round match (bottom right bracket): Jay White def. Hiroshi Tanahashi

David Finlay defeated YOSHI-HASHI in their New Japan Cup first round match. He will face Jay White in the second round, who defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi in their tournament match today.

The full card for tomorrow’s show in Korakuen Hall has not been announced at the time of publishing this article. However, EVIL versus Toru Yano and KENTA versus Shingo Takagi are set to take place in the New Japan Cup quarterfinals.

Pro Wrestling NOAH

Pro Wrestling NOAH has announced Keiji Mutoh will attempt his second defense of the GHC Heavyweight Championship against Masa Kitamiya at its NOAH the GLORY 2021 show on April 29 in Nagoya Congress Center.

Mutoh made his first successful defense of the GHC Heavyweight Championship against Kaito Kiyomiya at Great Voyage 2021 in Fukuoka yesterday. Kitamiya came to the ring to challenge Mutoh afterwards and Mutoh tried to leave without answering the challenge, but Kitamiya hit Mutoh with a Saito suplex.

Speaking of yesterday’s match, NOAH has announced Kaito Kiyomiya suffered a concussion and will miss the company’s next show – NOAH THE INFINITY 2021 – on March 21 in Korakuen Hall.

The full card for NOAH THE INFINITY 2021 is:

• Atsushi Kotoge, Kai Fujimura and Yasutaka Yano vs. Haoh, Nioh and Tadasuke
• Akitoshi Saito and Masao Inoue vs. Mohammad Yone and Shuhei Taniguchi
• Hajime Ohara, Seiki Yoshioka and YO-HEY vs. Ikuto Hidaka, Kotaro Suzuki and NOSAWA Rongai
• Kendo Kashin and Takashi Sugiura vs. Naomichi Marufuji and Yuko Miyamoto
• Katsuhiko Nakajima, Manabu Soya and Masa Kitamiya vs. Kinya Okada, Osamu Nishimura and Yoshiki Inamura
• GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship: HAYATA and Yoshinari Ogawa (c) vs. Daisuke Harada and Junta Miyawaki
• GHC National Championship: Kenoh (c) vs. Kazuyuki Fujita

HAYATA and Yoshinari Ogawa will attempt their third defense of the GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship against Daisuke Harada and Junta Miyawaki.

Kenoh will attempt his seventh defense of the GHC National Championship against Kazuyuki Fujita in the main event.

NOAH also announced it will hold its Mitsuharu Misawa memorial show on May 30 in Ota Ward Gymnasium.

Big Japan Pro Wrestling

Big Japan Pro Wrestling will hold a show in Shin-Kiba 1st Ring tomorrow co-promoted with Pro Wrestling ZERO1.

The full card is:

• Kazuki Hashimoto and Takuya Nomura vs. Shoki Kitamura and Takumi Baba
