T-Mart Promotions has started announcing guests for their second convention The Gathering II which is slated for the weekend of 7/25 in Charlotte, NC with lots of Texas territory stars including Kevin Von Erich, Eric Embry and Shaun Simpson, a reunion of Original Midnight Express members Norvell Austin (first ever convention) and Dennis Condrey, John "Bezerker" Nord, Mike Rotunda, The Fabulous Ones and more. Tomorrow's edition of Dark Side of the Ring: Confidential on ViceTV will feature a look at the Montreal Screwjob. The Gino Hernandez retrospective revealed that for years, Hernandez's mother was married to Jimmy Snuka.
VCI has released a remastered 4K edition of the 1969 film Santo in the Treasure of Dracula. Billed as the "Sexy Vampire" version, promotional material for the DVD and Blu-Ray release notes, "After inventing a time machine, Mexican wrestler, El Santo, uses it to go back in time to track down the location of Dracula’s hidden treasure. This is with the noble intention of using the treasure to help fund a children’s hospital. In his quest to obtain the treasure, he is forced to face down and battle Dracula and his bevy of beautiful, vampire vixens. The original 1969 release of “Santo en El Tesoro de Drácula” was black-and-white and featured no nudity. The film was simultaneously shot in colour featuring full frontal nudity for European markets and finally released in Mexico in 2012 as “El Vampiro y el Sexo.”
Expo Lucha will go all virtual this Saturday for the second time. As part of the streaming event, Psicosis will be signing 10 masks live as well as signing 8x10s live. There will also be a preview of the forthcoming Eat Lie a Luchador with a special cooking segment with Salina de la Renta and her mother making their recipe from the cookbook.
