WWE DROPS LAWSUIT AGAINST UNITED STATES CITIZENSHIP AND IMMIGRATION

By Mike Johnson on 2021-03-11 09:55:00

World Wrestling Entertainment dropped their lawsuit against U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in the United States District Court of Connecticut on 3/10, PWInsider.com has confirmed

The nature of the lawsuit, which was filed on 1/26, remains sealed to the public.  One would think it was centered around the company not being able to get either a talent or an employee into the United States, a process that was greatly exacerbated under the Trump Presidency due to policy changes.

Martine G. Cuomo, an immigration attorney, had filed documents on behalf of WWE for the lawsuit.  The Immigration Department had been required to file a response by 3/27.

The case has not been officially closed by the court, but that is merely a formality at this point.
