MADMAN FULTON VS. TJP: BTI - BEFORE THE IMPACT REPORT

By Mike Johnson on 2021-03-09 20:01:00

This week's edition of BTI opened with clips from last week.

Jon Burton, Josh Mathews and Gia Miller welcomed everyone to the show. The panelists looked at Rich Swann vs. Moose this Saturday on Sacrifice.

George the Iceman did his segment and said Scott D'Amore will have a "game changing announcement" about Swann vs. Moose this weekend.

Backstage, Chris Sabin and James Storm cut a promo.  When Rohit Raju and Mahabali Shera attacked them last week, it was the worst thing they could have done.  So now, they are going to kick their asses.  Sabin was understated and quiet while Storm was over the top pissed and loud.  It was a good chemistry.

Elsewhere, Raju told Shera that they have it under control.  He congratulated Storm for beating him, but after the match, Storm and Sabin were left laying.  He said Storm should have been paying attention to Shera.  Shera said he remembered every slap Storm ever gave him and tonight, he's going to break him off, limb from limb.  Raju said they have a statement to make.  Raju's promo was great.

Madman Fulton vs. TJP tonight on the show.  TJP did a promo saying that he's not going to be afraid of Fulton because he's supposed to.  He's spent his career doing things he's not supposed to do.  He said Fulton better be ready to kill him because he's willing to die for the X-Division title.

Backstage, Neveah told Havok that she doesn't know what the future holds for their team.  Havok said let them team up against Tenille Dashwood and Kaleb with A K at Sacrifice and then see where it goes.  Neveah agreed.

Sami Callihan hacked into the show and said he gave Trey Miguel every chance to walk away the way Trey always does.  He hasn't, so now Sami has to make an example out of him and everyone else he cares about.  That's why Sami went to his school last week but Trey wasn't there to speak to him like a man.  So, Sami had to do what he has to do.  He found someone with passion and potential.

They ran down the top 5 social media moments.

They went to an interview from earlier in the week with Josh sitting down with D'Lo Brown.  Brown said who could win Moose vs. Swann was a tough question to answer.  Swann has been fighting from underneath his entire life but he was predicting Moose who has been bred to win his entire life.    They talked about the physical transformation Moose has undergone of late as well as his increased intensity.

They kept teasing the Scott D'Amore announcement.

X-Division Champion TJP vs. Madman Fulton with Ace Austin

TJP started strong, sending Fulton to the floor and nailing a pescado.  After a commercial, TJP rained down with a series of punches but was quickly overwhelmed by Fulton's power.  The story early was TJP using his finesse to grab holds and submissions but Fulton's sheer might breaking them very easily. It was an interesting mix with Fulton getting more and more frustrated.

TJP was wiped out with snake eyes and a big boot.  He was hit with a charging shoulderblock in the corner.    Fulton nailed a big suplex for another two count.  TJP tried to fight back and went for an Octopus variation but Fulton was too strong and drilled the champ with a Fall Away Slam for a two count.  TJP came back for another submission but Fulton grabbed the ropes.  TJP nailed a dropkick and a rebound dropkick off the apron.  He nailed a tornado DDT out of the corner for a two count.  TJP nailed a series of kicks to the chest and stomped away at Fulton in the corner.

TJP tried to lift him for the Detonation Kick but Fulton blocked.  TJP transitioned into another submission.  Ace Austin got on the apron so TJP released the hold and dropkicked him off the apron.  TJP went for the Mamba Slam but was caught and slammed.  Fulton nailed a standing powerbomb for a close two count.  Fulton went for a chokeslam but TJP nailed him and landed on the top rope.  He kicked Fulton down and nailed the Black Mamba off the top for the pin.

Your winner, TJP!

Ace Austin attacked TJP and drilled him with the X-Cup trophy.  Fulton held the champ as Austin drilled him in the mid-section.    They stood over TJP.

Our hosts ran down the lineup for tonight's show.
