We begin with a look back at last Monday when it appeared that time had run out for Miz, only for Miz to outsmart Bobby Lashley. Then Shane McMahon showed his jealousy of Miz outsmarting him to force Miz to wrestle again and lose the WWE Championship.
We are in St. Petersburg, Florida and your announcers are Byron Saxton, Samoa Joe, and Tom Phillips.
Bobby Lashley walks in the back with the rest of the Hurt Business. Sarah ambushes him to ask a few questions. Bobby says he is a happy man. He says he has been through so much that would break a normal man, but he is The All Mighty. He had to wait 16 years to see people get opportunities he should have received. He had to deal with politics and he busted his ass to beat Miz for the title. He says he punished Miz because he was delaying the inevitable. What happens tonight to the Miz is what will happen to anyone who steps in his way. Bobby says 16 years has been too much. He says he will walk into Wrestlemania as the Almighty Champion and that the All Mighty Era has begun.
Miz makes his way to the ring and he says he is in this ring empty handed because Bobby Lashley is the new WWE Champion. Miz asks if he expected to get his ass handed to him and John says he would. He asks if he was going to lose his title and Morrison says no. Miz says that Shane pulled a fast one. After all he has done with the appearances and that he does not get injured, when he says his body does not feel good, you should believe him. Miz says he had stomach cramps, yet I went out there and I successfully defended my WWE Championship. The bell rang and there was a match. I got counted out. I lost, but you can only lose a title by pinfall or submission. That is the champion's adrantage. Is it shady? Yes it is. I outsmarted everyone last week. I outsmarted everyone. Bobby had a chance and he blew it. My contract said that I had to defend my title and I did.
My contract did not say I had to defend my title twice in one night. I was forced to do so. I was physically threatened that if I did not defend my WWE Championship, something I fought so hard to get, I would be stripped of the title and it would have been given to Bobby Lashley. Then Shane made that match a lumberjack match. It is unfair and it is unfair that Bobby Lashley brutalized him. Bobby had no repurcussions for what he did.
WWE did one thing right. Tonight, I get my rematch. Everyone that is tweeting, blogging, or celebrating with Bobby Lashley over his championship, I want you to stay real close to whatever device you may use. There will be a hashtag tonight and it will be AND NEW.
Bobby Lashley and Montel Vontavious Porter walk in the back as we go to commercial.
Match Number One: Miz (with John Morrison) versus Bobby Lashley (with Montel Vontavious Porter) for the WWE Championship
Miz tries to circle around Lashley and then Miz goes to the floor. Miz returns to the ring and then goes back to the floor. Miz is pulled back onto the apron but Miz drops Lashley on the apron and then Lashley with a delayed vertical suplex to Miz.
We see Drew McIntyre watching in the back while Lashley connects with shoulders. Lashley misses a shoulder in the corner when Miz moves and Lashley hits the ring post shoulder first. Miz sends Lashley into the ring post on the floor. Lashley with a shoulder tackle.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Lashley works on the neck but Miz with punches. Lashley with a shoulder tackle. Miz pulls the ring skirt to try to distract the referee and allows Miz to kick Lashley. Lashley blocks the Awesome Clothesline and Lashley with a biel.
Drew McIntyre is still watching in the back as Lashley sends Miz into the ringside barrier. Lashley hot shots Miz on the ringside barrier. Lashley sends Miz' head into the announce table. They return to the ring and Miz with a boot to the head. Lashley tries to press slam Miz when Miz charges at him but Miz gets to his feet. Lashley with knees and then Miz goes down and Lashley goes over teh top rope to the floor. Miz misses a drop kick through the ropes and Lashley gets MIz up and runs Miz face first into the ring post.
Lashley with a flatliner and then he punches Miz. The referee warns Lashley. Lashley with a choke slam and then he sets for the Hurt Lock. Lashley applies the hold and Miz taps out.
Winner: Bobby Lashley (Retains championship)
Tom mentions that tickets will be on sale next Tuesday for Wrestlemania.
Drew McIntyre is in the back and Sarah asks about him being the presumptive challenger but Drew says he is the only challenger. Bobby Lashley could have gone after the biggest challenger but he decided to attack Drew after the Elimination Chamber to help Miz win the title. I beat Brock Lesnar.
Sheamus attacks Drew in the back. Sheamus sends Drew into some storage cases and he says this is not over yet.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Rhea Ripley says she is sick of the daydreamers. It is time for nightmares. We are in my world now. Your nightmare becomes a reality. Rhea is still coming soon.
Drew McIntyre is walking in the back and he tells Adam Pearce not to speak to him. He wants a match against Sheamus as quick as possible and he wants it to be a No Disqualification Match.
We go to a look at the current situation between Shane McMahon and Braun Strowman.
Braun Strowman walks in the back and R Truth stops him. Truth says he has a lot he needs to get off his chest. He says he wrote it all down so it could be more formal. Truth says Bugs Bunny has gone to the dark side and is with the Monstars. Truth says he needs his Monstar to get his baby back. Truth apologizes for everything he did wrong.
Strowman says he is not looking for an apology from Truth. He is going to the ring to ask, no he is going to demand that Shane apologize to him.
Truth says it is his bad and this never happened. Truth says he is a fragment of your imagination and he tries to neuralize Strowman so he can forget this.
We go to commercial.
We are back and after tonight's attack by Sheamus, Drew McIntyre gets his No Disqualification Match against Sheamus.
Braun Strowman makes his way to the ring to demand an apology from Shane McMahon.
Braun wants to know Shane's motivation. He is over not being in the Elimination Chamber. Then you give me Adam Pearce as a tag partner and you made me tag him in so we could lose. Are you getting a laugh at this? The saying says You are either laughing with me or laughing at me. You can't be laughing at me because I could rip your neck off like a twig. I know that you can fire me. I am looking for respect. The more I stand here, the angrier I get. Braun demands that Shane come out to give him a damn apology.
Shane McMahon's music plays and he makes his way to the ring.
Shane says "i apologize' and then he walks away.
Braun tells Shane to say what he wants to say.
Sheamus walks in the back as we go to commercial.
