TULLY BLANCHARD RETURNING TO RING, EXPLODING BARBED WIRE, SHAQ & MORE

AEW announced a lot for the next several weeks.

This Monday 2/2, AEW will stream more of the Women's Championship Eliminator Tournament:

UNITED STATES BRACKET: Nyla Rose (with Vickie Guerrero) vs. Tay Conti and Britt Baker vs. Anna Jay.

JAPAN BRACKET: Aja Kong vs. Ryo Mizunami and Yuka Sakazaki vs. Emi Sakura.

Scheduled for the Wednesday 2/24 edition of AEW Dynamite:

*The AEW Women's Championship Eliminator Semi-Final.

*Hangman Adam Page vs. Private Parry's Isiah Kassidy with Matt Hardy.

*Team Taz's Ricky Starks & FTW Champion Brian Cage vs The Varsity Blondes.

*Jake Hager vs Brandon Cutler.

The Wednesday 3/2 episode of Dynamite features the first Tully Blanchard match since a 2007 match against Dustin Rhodes at the NWA Legends Fanfest:

*Shaq & Jade vs. Cody Rhodes & Red Velvet.

*FTR & Tully Blanchard vs. The Jurassic Express.

The updated lineup for the 3/7 AEW Revolution PPV will feature the first-ever exploding barbed wire match held live on American PPV.  WWE at one point wanted to do Terry Funk vs. Mick Foley from the Double Cross Ranch at Wrestlemania 14 but decided not to do it as they had a big media crossover in Mike Tyson that year.  Over the years, FMW legend Atsushi Onita shot angles in ECW (with The Sandman) and XPW (with Sabu) for such matches but they never came off.  ECW did an exploding barbed wire boards match on 3/3/00 in Asbury Park, NJ at a TV Taping but the technology didn't work as when they hit the first board, nothing happened.  A second board did work but the match was never released officially beyond a few seconds of the explosion being used on a PPV commercial.  So, if AEW pulls this off, they get to be the first to do so in the States on a major scale.

As of today, Revolution will feature:

*AEW Champion Kenny Omega vs. Jon Moxley - No Ropes Exploding Barbed Wire Match.

*Sting & Darby Allin vs. Team Taz - Street Fight.

*AEW Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks vs. Chris Jericho and MJF.

*Matt Hardy vs. Adam Page - Winner gets larger % of the other's earnings.

*Cody Rhodes vs. Scorpio Sky vs. Penta vs. Three competitors to be named - Ladder Match for TNT title match.

*AEW Women's Champion Hikaru Shida vs. Women's Eliminator Tournament victor.
