PROGRESS Wrestling will return for its first show in nearly a full calendar year with Chapter 104: Natural Progression on Sunday, February 20 on the WWE Network.
The show will feature the four quarterfinal bouts for PROGRESS’ eight-man, single-elimination Natural Progression Series tournament.
The tournament has proven to be a launching pad for some of the best young wrestlers in the British scene. Prior contestants include Pete Dunne, Toni Storm and Zack Gibson – who all now regularly feature on NXT.
The full field of eight competitors in this year’s Natural Progression Series is:
• Big Guns Joe
• “The Kid Without Fear” Danny Black
• Elijah
• Ethan Allen
• Kid Lykos II
• Luke Jacobs
• Man Like Dereiss
• “The Nigerian Kaiju” Warren Banks
PROGRESS uploaded a short video previewing the tournament on its YouTube channel. Each competitor briefly introduced himself.
Another match set for the show is Mercedez Blaze versus Millie McKenzie. Cara Noir, who holds the PROGRESS Unified World Championship, and Gene Munny will also compete but their matches have not been announced.
Additionally, Chapter 105: Bring The Thunder will premiere a week later. The show will include the culmination of the Natural Progression Series and will be headlined by the first ever female Thunderba***d match.
Blaze is the first name confirmed for the Thunderbastard match but seven more females will be announced during Chapter 104: Natural Progression.
The Thunderbast***d match is a similar to a combination of a battle royal and gauntlet match. A new competitor enters every two minutes and competitors can be eliminated by pinfall, submission or disqualification.
Roy Johnson will serve as PROGRESS’ new shot host while Charles Crowley and Hustle Malone are the new commentary team.
