WWE SMACKDOWN REPORT; ROMAN IS WRESTLING AT THE ELIMINATION CHAMBER, THE CHAMBER MATCH IS SET, BILLIE TRIES TO MAKE NEW OLD FRIENDS, SETH IS BACK, AND MORE

We are in St. Petersburg, Florida and your announcers are Michael Cole and Corey Graves.

Roman Reigns makes his way to the ring and he is joined by Paul Heyman and Jey Uso.

Adam Pearce is in the ring waiting for Roman to join him.

Paul hands Roman the mic.  

Roman looks at Adam and he wants to know why is Adam standing back there.  He tells Adam not to be scared and he tells Adam to hurry up because he doesn't wait for Adam, they wait for him.  You don't do anything around here.  You don't have any authority around here.  You wait on me.  Everything orbits around me.  I do not wait on Edge.  I saw Edge last week in this ring.  He don't wanna.  He got nervous.  He looked me in the eye and got scared.  Wanna know why?

Edge knows what I will do to him.  I will beat him down so bad that we will have to put him under a Legend's contract.  He will be an ambassador of the WWE.  Waiting until after the Elimination Chamber is a ploy because Edge is scared.  I am not going to lose this title until I want to.

Let's talk about why you are here.  You want to talk about Elimination Chamber.

Adam says he has had the contract for a week.  It stipulates that Roman Reigns will defend the Universal Title inside the Elimination Chamber, just like Drew McIntyre.

Roman says he is going to let Paul take over.

Paul introduces himself and advises Pearce of his role.  Paul says Adam has a contract for Roman to review for an Elimination Chamber match, just like Drew McIntyre.  Roman's contract allows for him to be on the Elimination Chamber pay per view.  Paul says Roman doesn't have to wrestle inside the Elimination Chamber, just at the Elimination Chamber.  The person who survives the match will get to face Roman Reigns for the Universal Title that night.  Paul says he can see that Adam is not happy.  What are you going to do about it?  Are you going to fire Roman Reigns this close to Wrestlemania?  What happened to last year's Wrestlemania without Roman Reigns.  It was the lowest attended Wrestlemania.  

Roman's opinion is the only one that matter.  Who gets to have the chance to earn a title match?

Adam says it is his move and he has some work to do.  There will be some qualifying matches tonight.  There are two superstars who deserve to be in the Elimination Chamber who don't have to qualify.  Paul asks if one of them is Bianca Belair.  

Adam says that Paul is familiar with them.  One has taken Roman to the limit and his name is Jey Uso.  Adam says after what happened at the Royal Rumble, there is another man who doesn't need to qualify and his name is Kevin Owens.

Roman asks Adam if he understands.    Paul tells Roman that Adam gets it.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Adam Pearce is walking in the back and Sonya Deville congratulates Adam on standing up to Roman.

Sonya suggests that the tag match scheduled for tonight is a qualifying match and Adam likes it.  Sonya says she already okayed it.

Sami Zayn has something to say before the match.  He says it wouldn't be Friday night if WWE wasn't trying to stick it to Sami Zayn.  Management helped Big E retain and instead of being put into the Elimination Chamber, I have to earn my way in.  I have to face Rey and Dominik Mysterio and team with Baron Corbin.  We are on the same page because we are facing the same injustice.  Sami says he is glad his documentary crew is here to make sure the referee doesn't accidentally give this match to the Mysterios.

Match Number One:  Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio versus Baron Corbin and Sami Zayn in a WInners Qualify for the Elimination Chamber Match Match

Dominik and Rey knock Sami off the apron before the bell rings.  The match starts and Corbin punches Rey and goes for a slam but Rey drop kicks Baron into the ropes and he falls onto the middle rope.  Sami pulls Rey out of the ring and Dominik with a suicide dive.  Rey sends Corbin to the floor.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Corbin with an arm bar and chin lock on Rey.  Rey with punches but Corbin with a knee and he grabs Rey by the throat.  Rey with a head scissors that sends Corbin into the turnbuckles.  Zayn and Dominik tag in and Dominik with a rolling back elbow and a rollup to send Zayn into the turnbuckles.  Sami with an Irish whip but Dominik gets a boot up and hits a tornado DDT for a near fall.  Dominik punches Zayn in the corner but Zayn sends Dominik to the apron and Dominik with a slingshot senton on Zayn and then one on Corbin.  

Zayn with a rollup for a near afll.  Zayn with a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall.  Dominik with a swinging neck breaker for a near fall.  Corbin knocks Rey off the apron.  Dominik avoids End of Days and Mysterio with a seated senton and then Corbin is sent into the ropes and Dominik and Rey hit a double 619.  Zayn is the legal man and he hits an exploder into the turnbuckles followed by a Helluva Kick for the three count.

Winners:  Sami Zayn and Baron Corbin

Adam and Sonya are watching what is going on in the ring from their office.

Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode enter the room.  Ziggler says they know what to do.  Roode says there would be a great reaction if the tag champs were put into the Elimination Chamber.  There would be parades from Tampa to Thunder Bay.

Sonya asks if they want to be in the match together.  Robert and Dolph clarify their position.

Adam and Sonya tell Dolph and Robert they can get in the match if they beat Cesaro and Daniel Bryan.

We go to commercial.

We take a look back at what happened last week when Reginald got whipped by Bianca's hair.

Sasha Banks is talking to Kalisto but Reginald shows up and they are all in blue.  Sasha wants Reginald to show some respect.  Reginald says he was out of line last week and it won't happen again.

Sasha asks Reginald if he meant it when he said that Sasha could beat Bianca.

Big E is in the ring and he says he defended his Intercontinental Championship last week and the odds were against him as he faced Sami Zayn and Apollo Crews.  Just like Tom Brady on a celebratory boat parade, I was still standing.  When I won the title,,I made a vow to be a fighting champion.  A bond just like hair follicles and Gorilla Glue.  As I put Apollo Crews and Sami Zayn behind me . . . 

Apollo Crews' music plays and he comes to the ring.

Crews says he knows why Big E is out here.  You are here to make an open challenge but since I have taken you to the limit time after time, there is no better man.  I accept the challenge.

Big E says he was going to make a challenge to anyone in this arena, but you.

Crews says E said he would be a fighting champion and someone for the locker room to look up to.  You should accept my challenge.

Big E tells Crews to go to the back and go to catering.  Crews talks about how hard he has fought.  Crews says he will not stop as long as Big E has the title.  Crews says he is not going anywhere.

Shinsuke Nakamura makes his way to the ring.

Match Number Two:  Shinsuke Nakamura versus Big E for the Intercontinental Championship

The match is joined in progress and Nakamura with a kick and he gets a near fall.  Nakamura kicks Big E and chokes him in the corner.  Nakamura runs into a back elbow.  Big E with forearms across the chest and then he sets for a splash on the apron and he hits it.  Big E gets a near fall and Crews gets on the apron to cheer on Nakamura.  Big E is told to get off the apron.  Big E blocks a kick but Nakamura with an enzuigiri.  Big E blocks a reverse exploder and Nakamura with a knee and he puts Big E on the turnbuckles and connects with a running knee to the midsection.  Nakamura goes to the turnbuckles and he hits a jumping side kick for a near fall.  

Nakamura with knees to the ribs and Nakamura sets for Kinshasa but Big E avoids it.  Nakamura with a spinning heel kick.  Nakamura sets for Kinshasa again and Big E with a uranagE for a near fall.  Big E waits for Nakamura to get up and he tries for the Big Ending but Nakamura escapes and Crews with a drop kick to Big E.

Winner:  Big E (by disqualification) {retains championship]

The entire roster, other than the obvious person who isn't coming out, make their way to the ring.
