MLW FUSION REPORT: BAKLEI BRAWL, TAG TITLE MATCH, TWO WEEKS TO FILTHY ISLAND, AND MORE

We start off with a video package for this week’s Baklei Brawl between Mads Krugger and Alexander Hammerstone.

We are in Orlando, Florida and your announcers are Jared St. Laurent and Rich Bocchini.

Myron Reed asks if they forgot that they took back MLW and took their masks. We are not dumb. You know what’s up. Do we have your attention now? How about next week, Injustice versus Contra two on two.

Match Number One: Sentai Death Squad Member (with Daivari) versus Jordan Oliver (with Myron Reed)

Oliver avoids a charge into the corner and Oliver misses a boot. Oliver with a boot and running boot to the head. Oliver starts to limp and he gets a near fall. Oliver with forearms in the corner and he hits a running drop kick into the corner. Oliver gets a near fall. Oliver with an Irish whip and hits a cutter out of the corner for the three count.

Winner: Jordan Oliver

After the match, Oliver says he wants you to go back and watch that match. Jordan Oliver is not that 170 pound kid he was a year ago. He weighs 220 now and he is a heavyweight. He wants Fatu to watch that match because he is coming after that strap.

We go to Salina de la Renta and she tells Savio Vega that his honor and pride is hurting, but after all, it was you who let down the entire island of Puerto Rico when you failed to bring back the Caribbean Title. Rumor has it that IWA is lacking money and they could use an investor. The new owner and proprietor of Promociones Dorado has deep pockets and they have made an offer.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a look back at the end of the Caribbean Title Match from last week.

Rich mentions that the referee in last week’s match was Tim Donaghy, who was involved in a fixing scandal in the NBA.

Alicia Atout says MLW is investigating the situation and she mentions that some of the match assignments for the referees were changed at the last minute. She also mentions that a lot of money was bet on Richard Holliday at the last minute.

Ross and Marhsall Von Erich are in Hawaii. Ross says it looks like Filthy Island is happening and they are going to put on the show on their island. Marshall wants to know where is their invitations so they should give them a Texas how ya do. Marshall says he would like to put a bullrope around Dominic Garrini’s neck and choke him out. Ross mentions the problems with the sponsors. Marshall brings up the things Lawlor did as referee and what he did to ACH. Ross says it will end up being GoFundMe Island. Marshall says invited or not, they will appear.

Match Number Two: TJP and Bu Ku Dao versus LA Park and Hijo de LA Park (with Salina de la Renta) for the MLW Tag Team Championship

Park hits TJP before the bell rings and then Park struts and backs Dao into the corner. Hijo and Dao start things off and Hijo wants a Test of Strength but he mocks Dao’s size. They lock up and Dao with an arm bar as he takes Hijo to the mat. Hijo with a rollup for a near fall. They lock up and Hijo with a half nelson and he stretches Dao. Dao with a side head lock.

Park hits Dao from behind and Dao with a forearm. TJP hits Park and he goes after Park on the floor. Park offers his hand to TJP and TJP refuses. Hijo returns to the ring and Dao returns as well. Dao with a side head lock and Park kicks Dao in the back followed by a clothesline from Hjio. Park and Hijo double team Dao while the referee deals with TJP.

Hijo with a chop to Dao. Dao with a clothesline and TJP pulls Dao out of the way and TJP punches Hijo and slams his head into the mat while the referee deals with Park. Dao gets a near fall. Park kicks Dao and Hijo goes after TJP. Park kicks Dao in the corner while Hijo works over TJP on the floor. Hijo with a forearm to the back and Park punches Dao on the floor and follows with a kick.

Hijo with a back heel kick to TJP and Hijo poses and gyrates over TJP. Hijo chokes TJP. Hijo with a reverse chin lock and then Hijo goes after Dao and kicks him to the floor. Hijo and Park kick TJP in the chest and Hijo Irish whips Dao into boots from Park in the corner. Hijo gets a near fall. Park chops TJP and Hijo chops Dao. TJP and Dao are Irish whipped into each other.

TJP is sent at Dao but Dao moves and TJP with a head scissors to Park while Hijo hits a senton on TJP. Dao with a suicide dive onto Hijo while TJP with a pescado onto Park. Dao with La Mistica on Hijo into a crossface. TJP puts Park in an octopus and Park drops TJP gingerly onto Dao. TJP with a drop kick to Park and follows with a springboard drop kick onto Park on the floor. Dao with a spinning flatliner for a near fall.

Hijo with an Irish whip and he hits a forearm in the corner. Hijo with a drop kick. Hijo gets a near fall. Dao and Hijo both go for clotheslines at the same time and both men go down. Salina gets on the apron and has some money for the referee. The ring skirt is lifted and LA Park Jr rolls into the ring and Dao covers him for a near fall. Junior with a shoulder breaker for the three count.

Winners: LA Park and Hijo de LA Park (retain championship)

After the match, TJP goes into the ring and Dao apologizes for the loss and TJP threatens to slap Dao and he pushes Dao to the mat. TJP leaves the ring full of disgust for Dao.

We go to Mads Krugger and he talks about the bare knuckles fighting he did in South Africa. He learned to conquer and he brings that fight to America.

We see footage from last week’s match between Laredo Kid and Zenshi and his post match comments about wanting to be a double champion when he challenged Lio Rush.

Lio Rush says he is about to go into a meeting with his agent, but he needs to address the fans. He says some guy by the name of Laredo Kid wants to make a challenge for his MLW Middleweight Championship. You want to fight the Moneyweight? I don’t know who you are, but you have some gold. If you know me, you know I love some gold. How about AAA Cruiserweight Champion versus MLW Middleweight Champion. Will you step up to the plate?

We go to commercial.

We are back with a look at upcoming matches. Next week, we will have Laredo Kid versus Lio Rush. On February 17th, we will have Filthy Island. On March 24th, MLW presents Never Say Never.

We go to Alicia Atout and the Filthy Island Control Center.

Alicia mentions that all sponsors have bailed from the event.

Tom Lawlor will appear at Filthy Island.

Tom tells everyone to look at the paradise that is Filthy Island. Where the Von Erichs live is a skunk pit compared to Filthy Island. Not only can you relax and take a load off, but you can have a full immersive experience with Team Filthy. You can get stretched by Dominic Garrini. You can get stuffed and beaten by Kevin Ku. You can hang out and go to sleep with your 2020 Opera Cup Champion, Tom Lawlor.

Kevin tells Tom he got an email but Tom tells him to ignore it because it is spam.

Alicia mentions that Dominic Garrini will be at Filthy Island. Kevin Ku will also be at Filthy Island.

King Mo will face Low Ki at Filthy Island.

Alexander Hammerstone says that Contra has him distracted from his goal. He says that he knows Fatu is putting hurdles and roadblocks in front of him and this won’t stop him.

Match Number Three: Gino Medina versus Gringo Loco

Loco flips over Medina and Medina sends Loco to the mat. Loco with an arm drag and a second one. Medina with an arm drag. Loco misses a moonsault. Medina with a half nelson but he misses a round kick. Medina has something to say to Loco. Loco offers his hand and Medina kicks it away. Medina with a half nelson into a snap mare. Loco with a springboard arm drag to Medina and Medina rolls to the floor.

Loco teases a dive to the floor and he goes to the apron but Medina with a leg sweep to send Loco to the floor. Medina with a chop and he sends Loco back into the ring. Medina kicks Loco and gets a near fall. Medina stomps on the arm. Medina follows with a punch and forearms. Medina with a snap mare and kick to the back.

Medina stomps on the hand. Medina with a snap mare and a rear chin lock. Medina with a reverse chin lock and he adds pressure with a headstand. Loco with elbows and he sends Medina into the turnbuckles and Medina falls over Loco. Loco with a kick and he hits a twisting moonsault for a near fall. Loco is put on Medina’s shoudlers and Loco escapes but Medina with a spinning heel kick. Loco with an enzuigiri and both men are down.

Loco gets a near fall. Loco goes to the turnbuckles for a moonsault but Medina gets his feet up. Medina drops Loco onto the turnbuckles and follows with a running knee. Loco with a victory roll but Medina counters and gets the three count with a rollup.

Winner: Gino Medina

Medina says he is untouchable.

Gringo Loco attacks Medina with a cross body and they exchange punches and fight to the back.

We are told that Injustice will face Contra Unit in a tag match. Lio Rush will face Laredo Kid with both titles on the line.

Match Number Four: Mads Krugger versus Alexander Hammerstone in a Baklei Brawl

Hammerstone arrives at the location and the cameraman isn’t sure about the location. Hammerstone says they should be doing this in a wrestling ring, but he doesn’t always get what he wants. He looks around for Krugger with the referee.

Hammerstone asks the referee about the location and says he GPSed 123 Bulls*** Avenue.

Hammerstone tells Krugger to come out.

A gate opens and Krugger emerges.

Hammerstone with a kick and punches. They lock up and Hammerstone with a knee and chop. Krugger punches Hammerstone and sends him into the fending. Krugger smothers Hammerstone in the gate and slams the gate in Hammerstone’s face. Krugger with an uppercut and Hammerstone with elbows.

Krugger with a knee and Krugger picks up a pallet and throws it at Hammerstone and misses. Hammerstone with punches and kicks. Krugger tries to send Hammerstone’s eyes into the edge of the pallet. Hammerstone sends Krugger into a dumpster.

Hammerstone picks up “Krugger” and lawn darts him into the dumpster for the three count, but Krugger is missing a few tattoos and size.

Winner: Alexander Hammerstone

Hammerstone realizes that he pinned the wrong guy and Krugger punches Hammerstone.
