ESPN is reporting that Major League Baseball is currently in discussions about pushing back the start of their planned Spring Training for the 2021 season with The Major League Baseball Players Association.
Should that happen, the current WWE Thunderdome location in St. Petersburg, Florida, Tropicana Field, could be available to the company for some additional time. The original belief was that WWE would have to exit this April as The Tampa Bay Rays are scheduled to play their home opener against the New York Yankees on Friday 4/9, the same weekend at Wrestlemania 37.
The proposal from MLB would see their 2021 season instead start at the end of April, which would give WWE at least several more weeks in theory.
