MLW's Court Bauer announced several minutes ago that former referee John Renesto has passed away:
Wrestling lost a terrific referee in John Renesto, a staple of World Class Championship Wrestling. Many have relayed how John helped a lot or up and comers on the circuit. Family goes back 3 generations in the sport. Rest In Peace.

Renesto was one of the primary referees for the legendary World Class Championship Wrestling in Dallas in the 1980s. Beyond his officiating duties, Renesto would often be in charge of helping new talents get acclimated to the territory including taking them on the road when they first broke in, driving them from town to town until they became familiar enough to do it themselves.
We do not have any additional details on Renesto's passing at this time.
PWInsider.com sends our deepest condolences to the family, friends and fans of John Renesto.
