World Wrestling Entertainment filed a lawsuit against U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in the United States District Court of Connecticut on 1/26, PWInsider.com has confirmed.
The nature of the lawsuit is currently sealed to the public. One would think it is centered around the company not being able to get either a talent or an employee into the United States, a process that was greatly exacerbated under the Trump Presidency due to policy changes. Martine G. Cuomo, an immigration attorney, has filed documents on behalf of WWE for the lawsuit.
Court records indicate that Immigration has not yet been served with the lawsuit. They have 60 days to respond.
Court records also indicate that amended pleadings need to be filed by 3/27 with discovery completed by 7/8.
More details as we confirm.
