IS HIDEI SUZUKI WWE-BOUND?, OSPREAY CALLS OUT KOJIMA AND MORE FROM JAPAN

New Japan Pro Wrestling held its seventh Road to The New Beginning show in Korakuen Hall today.

The full results were:

• Tiger Mask, Togi Makabe, Yota Tsuji and Yuji Nagata def. El Phantasmo, Gedo, Jado and Taiji Ishimori
• Great-O-Khan and Will Ospreay vs. Hiroyoshi Tenzan and Satoshi Kojima – No Contest
• Hirooki Goto, Kazuchika Okada and Tomohiro Ishii def. Dick Togo, EVIL and Yujiro Takahashi
• BUSHI and Tetsuya Naito def. Master Wato and Tomoaki Honma
• Hiromu Takahashi, SANADA and Shingo Takagi vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kota Ibushi and SHO – Time Limit Draw (30 minutes)

Will Ospreay demanded his match against Satoshi Kojima at The New Beginning in Nagoya on January 30 should take place under No Disqualifications rules.

Sugiura-gun member Hideki Suzuki traveled to America today, an article from Tokyo Sports revealed.

Suzuki said he had a one-way ticket to America but would not reveal his destination. However, WWE is mentioned in the article and Suzuki visited the Performance Center last year.

Suzuki most recently teamed with Kazuyuki Fujita and Go Shiozaki and Yoshiki Inamura on December 29.

SUWAMA has teased defending the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship against Naoya Ogawa in Ry?goku Kokugikan.

SUWAMA made his fifth successful defense of the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship against Shotaro Ashino yesterday. While Kohei Sato will be SUWAMA’s next challenger, SUWAMA suggested a match against Ogawa at Ry?goku Kokugikan.

Ogawa is currently retired but has talked about coming out of retirement recently. An article from Tokyo Sports covering SUWAMA’s proposal – which also mentions the possibility of SUWAMA versus Kazuyuki Fujita – can be read here.
