WWE's first-ever Superstar Spectacle will debut this Tuesday 1/26 at 9:30 AM EST as well as on as Sony TEN 1 and Sony TEN 3 in India. The show was produced specifically for the Indian audience in mind and one source noted that it was important to keep that in mind when watching the show as it's designed to be a "debut event" as well as a special holiday presentation for that international audience. The Indian audience was the primary one in mind when the show was written and produced.
We are told that while the show is produced out of the Thunderdome, Triple H was in charge of the production and it was very much the same team that works on NXT and NXT UK overseeing the Superstar Spectacle. Vince McMahon was not in attendance at the taping.
There will be a number of NXT talents from India who are having their first-ever "real" wrestling match as part of the broadcast and we are told that by and large, those working on the show were really happy with how well they all did under such unique circumstances. The original plan was to pre-tape the show over a number of days in order to give the younger talents something of a safety net but in the end, the decision was made to shoot the show live to tape like a live WWE broadcast. The lineup was specifically created to present NXT Indian talents in the strongest light possible.
The Spectacle will feature the following bouts:
*WWE Champion Drew McIntyre & Indus Sher vs. Jinder Mahal & The Bollywood Boyz.
*WWE NXT Champion Finn Balor vs. Guru Raaj.
*Charlotte Flair & Sareena Sandhu vs. Bayley and Natalya
*AJ Styles vs. Jeet Rama.
*Rey Mysterio & Ricochet & Dilsher Shanky & Giant Zanjeer vs. Dolph Ziggler & King Corbin & Shinsuke Nakamura & Cesaro.
*Also appearing are Ric Flair, The Street Profits and The New Day.
