ALL JAPAN AT KORAKUEN, ZERO1 KICKS OFF TOURNAMENT, NJPW AND MORE FROM JAPAN

All Japan Pro Wrestling held its final New Year Wars tour show in Korakuen Hall today.

The full results were:

• Izanagi, UTAMARO and Zeus def. Franceso Akira, Jake Lee and TAJIRI
• Dan Tamura, Hikaru Sato and Rambo Kawamura def. Alejandro, Carbell Ito and Takao Omori
• Kohei Sato, Ryuki Honda and Shuji Ishikawa def. Chikara, Ryoji Sai and Yoshitatsu
• Hokuto Omori, Koji Doi, Kuma Arashi and Yusuke Kodama def. Atsuki Aoyagi, Kento Miyahara, Rising HAYATO and Yuma Aoyagi
• GAORA TV Championship: Jun Kasai (c) def. Black Menso~re
• World Junior Heavyweight Championship: Koji Iwamoto (c) def. Fuminori Abe
• Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship: SUWAMA (c) def. Shotaro Ashino

Jun Kasai made his first successful defense of the GAORA TV Championship against Black Menso~re. Shuji Ishikawa challenged Kasai to a deathmatch afterwards.

Koji Iwamoto made his fourth successful defense of the World Junior Heavyweight Championship against Fuminori Abe. CIMA appeared via video package to challenge Iwamoto.

SUWAMA made his fifth successful defense of the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship against Shotaro Ashino. It was Ashino’s second time unsuccessfully challenging SUWAMA for the title during this reign. Kohei Sato challenged SUWAMA after the match.

All Japan has announced various matches for its Excite Series tour next month. Kento Miyahara and Yuma Aoyagi will attempt their first defense of the World Tag Team Championships against Abdullah Kobayashi and Daisuke Sekimoto in Korakuen Hall on February 23.

Kobayashi will also face Miyahara in a singles match in Shin-Kiba 1st Ring on February 18. Kobayashi pinned Miyahara in the Real World Tag League last year.

Lastly, Ryuki Honda’s second trial series match will be against Yoshitatsu on February 18.

New Japan Pro Wrestling

New Japan held its sixth Road to The New Beginning show in Korakuen Hall today.

The full results were:

Pro Wrestling ZERO1

Pro Wrestling ZERO1 aired the first night of its 10-man, single-elimination tournament on TwitCasting today.

The full results were:

• First round: Chris Vice def. Satsuki Nagao
• First round: Hayato Tamura def. Shoki Kitamura
• First round: Hartley Jackson def. Takuya Sugawara
• First round: Masato Tanaka vs. Shinjiro Otani – Time Limit Draw (10 minutes)
• Quarterfinals: Chris Vice def. Takumi Baba

Masato Tanaka and Shinjiro Otani wrestled to a 10-minute time limit draw, meaning Yoshikazu Yokoyama automatically advances to the semifinals

Following today’s results, the two semifinal matches are:

• Chris Vice vs. Hayato Tamura
• Hartley Jackson vs. Yoshikazu Yokoyama

The semifinals and final will air on January 31. The semifinals have a 15-minute time limit with an extra five-minute overtime period if required. The overtime period is competed under two-fall rules.

The tournament final does not have a time limit.
