NEW IWGP JUNIOR TAG CHAMPIONS CROWNED: 1/23 NJPW ROAD TO NEW BEGINNINGS RESULTS FROM OTA CITY, JAPAN

 New Japan Road to New Beginning from Ota City, Tokyo, Japan:

Taichi is sittting at the Japanese announce area.

Jado and Gedo vs. DOUKI and Minoru Suzuki.  Both team attack each other before the bell.  Bullet Club targets DOUKI and keeps Suzuki outside the ring.   DOUKI pins Gedo with a roll up.    Suzuki-Gun get the victory but Minoru Suzuki destroys everyone at ringside.   Kevin Kelly asks Jado if he wants a one-on-one match with DOUKI.  Jado says “Anytime, anywhere.”

Yujiro Takahashi, EVIL and Dick Togo vs. Kazuchika Okada, YOSHI-HASHI and Tomohiro Ishii.  Togo and Ishii start it off.   Togo can still move in the ring.  He matched up well with Ishii.  Okada forces Takahashi to tap out to the Money Clip.

The Great O-Khan and Will Ospreay, with Bea Priestley vs. Satoshi Kojima and Hiroyoshi Tenzan.   Tenzan attacked O-Khan immediately.   Kojima dragged Ospreay to the floor.   This is a brawl.  O-Khan ripped the bandages from Tenzan’s neck and proceeds to attack that body part.     Tenzan went to the top rope but Priestley hit him with a chair.   O-Khan was about to destroy Tenzan with another chair until Tenzan sent Ospreay head first into the chair.  Tenzan shattered the chair over the back of O-Khan.   The referee tried to stop it but was sent flying by an angry Tenzan.   Referee stopped the match.  Tenzan and Kojima were disqualified.   Tenzan destroyed O-Khan with the broken chair.  Ospreay ate a wicked lariat from Kojima.    The United Empire was left laying.   Tenzan left the ring still screaming in anger.  Both teams will meet in singles matches later on the tour.

Elimination Tag Match - Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kota Ibushi, SHO, Master Wato and Tomoaki Honma vs. Shingo Takagi, SANADA, Hiromu Takahashi, BUSHI and Tetsuya Naito.  Ibushi and SANADA are eliminated by BUSHI over the top rope.   Wato eliminates BUSHI over the top.  Hiromu eliminates Wato over the top.
SHO eliminates Hiromu over the top.  Takagi eliminates SHO over the top.  Tanahashi eliminates Takagi over the top.  ito eliminates Tanahashi over the top.  Honma eliminates Naito.    Honma wins the match for his team.

IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championship - Yoshinobu Kanemaru and El Desperado vs. Taiji Ishimori and El Phantasmo.  Kevin Kelly states that Phantasmo has named his super kick “Sudden Death”.    Good match.    Red Shoes the referee took a Sudden Death to the stomach and fell out of the ring.   Kanemaru hits a reverse DDT on ELP but no one is there to count.    Desperado smashes ELP in the face with a title belt.   Red Shoes gets carried to the locker room.  Suzuki-Gun has the match won but no referee.   Fans are clapping for another referee.   Referee Marty Asami runs back to the ring.   Ishimori pulls Asami out of the ring and into the guardrails.   Ishimori hits Kanemaru in the back with the title belt.  Ishimori blasts Desperado in the head with the belt.    Ishimori tries to hit Kanemaru again, Kanemaru hits Ishimori with the Suntori Whiskey Bottle.    ELP low blows Kanemaru and hits him with the Suntori Bottle.   ELP screams for Asami to get back to the ring.   Asami counts but Kanemaru kicks out.    ELP can’t believe it.  ELP goes for Sudden Death.  Kanemaru catches his boot and throws it into the face of Asami.    Asami is out cold.   Two referees down due to Sudden Death.   Kanemaru low blows ELP.   Bodies are everywhere.     A third referee comes to ringside, Ken Sato.   Match continues.   Kanemaru comes off the top rope and ELP hits him with a wicked low blow.   ELP lands Sudden Death on Kanemaru and gets the pinfall win.   

Taiji Ishimori and El Phantasmo are the New IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champions!

Taichi jumps into the ring to check on his stablemate.   Ishimori tells him to leave the ring.   Suzuki-Gun terrorize everyone at ringside as they leave.

ELP takes the mic.   He says his foot is the most powerful tool in wrestling.   He compares himself to Misawa, Kawada, KENTA, and Shibata as strikers.    He states “if you want to make it to Game 7, I will end it with Sudden Death”.

In the interview area, ELP sits down and takes off his shoe.   He shows his sock on his foot.  Ishimori laughs and says “Nothing”.

Kevin Kelly asks “what about in the shoe?”
