COMPLETE AEW DYNAMITE REPORT

It's Wednesday, and you know what that means. 

We are at Daily's Place in Jacksonville Florida and AEW Dynamite has begun.  Our announcers are Jim Ross, Excalibur, Chris Jericho, and Tony Schiavone. It's Night 1 of New Year's Smash.

We start off with the Young Bucks and SCU on their way to the ring. Next was their way to the ring was TH2 with Acclaimed rapping their way to the ring dissing the other teams and Snoop Dogg.

SCU and the Young Bucks vs The Hybrid 2 and the Acclaimed.

  • The match starts with Daniels taking a shot at Max Caster and all 8 men are in the ring.

  • We then get a sequence where each each person on the baby face team gets in a big move on a member of the heel team, followed with more of everyone attacking each other

  • Daniels is kept in the ring and not allowed to tag out as the rheels tag in rapidly and each get a two count on him

  • Kazarian is tagged in and cleans house

  • Kazarian gets a German Suplex on Jack Evans for a two count.

  • Evans is able to get Kazarian down and hits with a twisting standing moonsault for a two count

  • Bowens is tagged in and Kaz gets them to run into each other.

  • Matt Jackson is tagged in and cleans house

  • The Bucks hit Ricky Business on Bowens

  • Kazarian leaps into the ring with a DDT and Matt covers Bowens for a two count

  • Kazarian and Nick Jackson hit the BTE on Bowens for a two count, broken up by Jack Evans

  • Evans goes for a 630 senton, but Nick gets his knees up

  • Matt is tagged in and it's superkick party on everyone

  • Bucks go for the Meltzer Driver and Nick is pulled off the apron and Evans escapes.

  • Daniels gets a blind tag and Evans tries to pin Matt, Daniels breaks it up and he and Matt work over Evans

  • Nick flips onto the heels on the outside and Daniels uses the BME into a Meltzer driver onto Evans for the three count

Your Winners: The Young Bucks and SCU

After the match, Kazarian says the next time they lose as a tag team, they will break up.  Daniels says that they have the Bucks's back, until they go for the tag team championships.

The announcers go over the card for the night and we go to commercials.

We come back to Mox on his way to the ring  through the crowd.  Mox talks about how he won't complain, and instead he will stare down adversity and don't back down an inch. He has a zero tolerance for crappy people and would like to beat them to a bloody pulp.  But, he puts over Rey Fenix and says it's not his part to get in his way, but Kenny Omega isn't safe. He will get even and then some.  One day, Kenny Omega will beg for mercy when he realizes he crossed the wrong man.

Mox leaves the ring and we go to the back where Dasha is talking with Chuck Taylor and Orange Cassidy.  Chuck lets us know that Trent has a torn pec and will be out 4 – 5 months. Miro, Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford come to interrupt.  Miro says it means Chuck will be out for 4 to 5 months as well.  Chuck challenges Miro to a match next week.  Miro says if he wins, Chuck will be his Young Boy until the wedding.  Chuck agrees and the match is next week

Back at the arena,. Jake Hager is on his way to the ring. He is followed by Wardlow and we get a backstage promo from him as a prerecord.

The Inner Circle comes out onto the stage and Hager and Wardlow lock up.  Neither get an advantage.  They tie up again, Hager takes Wardlow down and Wardlow escapes.  Hager takes him down again and  they work to their feet.  Hager takes him down again, and when they get up, Hager works Wardlow into the corner and they start throwing hands.  They run the ropes and hit shoulder blocks on each other and neither go down.

They go to the outside and hit a double clothesline and go to the ground as we go to commercial and they fight on picture in picture. They fight into the ring and Hager is in control and they battle in each corner.  When we come back, Wardlow is able to escape from being tossed to the corner and he is able to get blows in on Hager, slamming him repeatedly.  Wardlow covers after a release suplex and gets a two count.

Wardlow goes for the F10 and Hager escapes and is able to hit a series of clotheslines in the corner until Hager hits a suplex on Wardlow and gets a two count.  He goes for the Hager bomb and Wardlow gets his knees up. Hager grabs his foot for an ankle lock and Wardlow kicks free.  Wardlow then hits a shoulder block, knocking Hager to the floor.  Wardlow rolls Hager into the ring and hits a pair of release German suplexes and covers for a two count. Wardlow hits a senton atomica for a two count. Hager is able to roll through for a triangle choke, which Wardlow gets a rope break.

hey go to the ropes and Wardlow drops to drop Hager's head on the turnbuckle. Wardlow picks up Hager, is able to hit the F10 and cover for the three count.

Your winner: Wardlow

The announcers put it over as an upset.  The Inner Circle come to the ring to bring the two men together for a handshake.  

In the back, Private Party have the gin but not the juice, and Snoop Dogg shows with the juice.  Matt Hardy shows with contracts, and they ask him about the chair from last week.  He is able to distract them.  Private Party asks if their information was added to the contract. Matt says they were and the contracts are signed. 

Back at the ring, Brian Cage is on his way to the ring and we see the issues between them on the small screen. We then get commercials.

We come back to the ring and Darby Allin is on his way to the ring for the weigh in.  Tony asks Cage to weigh in first, and Taz complains about it.  Cage weighs in at 272 pounds and Darby is next.  Darby keeps an eye on Taz and his team as he gets on the scale.  He weighs in 170 pounds.

Taz complains about Darby's gear being on, and Darby grabs a mic and says he has dealt with crap his whole life. Darby says he knows what's coming, and grabs his skateboard.  Taz starts to talk and THE LIGHTS GO OUT.

It's snowing which means that the heaters aren't working.

Oh, wait, IT'S STIIIIIIIING!

Team Taz leave the ring and Taz says he is sick of the snow and next week we crown a new TNT champion.

In the back, MJF has a camera and Jake Hager is throwing a fit backstage.  MJF tells Jake how great he is and Jake says he was ready to drop MJF, but he's glad he checked on him.  They bump fists and Hager goes back to beating up the garage door.

We go to beating up commercials.

When we come back, we see -1 in the ring with Jurassic Express.  They start an interview with Jurassic Express and FTR interrupts.  Marko Stunt says he will take them on, and we've got a match between Jurassic Express and FTR next week.

Back at the ring, Matt Sydal comes to the ring and he is followed by Cody's Elaborate Entrance with Snoop Dogg and Snoop has done a new version of Cody's entrance song.  Jericho puts over the Snoop has jumped to AEW! They say that Snoop is Cody's coach. But how can he be a couch without his menu?

OK, now that the match has started, Snoop has the menu in his hand.  Cody and Matt tie up and they trade leg sweeps and one counts. Matt is able to take control, taking Cody down with an arm drag and a leap onto Cody in the corner Matt gets a two count.  Matt hits a meteora and almost runs into Snoop  They go into the ring and Cody hits the drop down uppercut.  Matt tosses Cody to the outside, but Cody skins the cat to come back in, and Matt hits a drop kick to Cody's head as he does so.

They fight to the outside and Cody accidentally hits Sirpentico, who is outside the barricade.  Matt tosses Cody into the ring.  Matt hits a crossbody but Cody rolls through and then locksion a Texas cloverleaf.  Matt gets the rope to force the break.  Cody starts to take control and we go to picture in picture.

Cody keeps control n the small screen.  Matt is able to rally and get some offence in until Cody is able to regain control.  When we get back, Cody hits a reverse suplex off the top turnbuckle.  Cody covers for a two count.  Cody goes to the top again and Matt is up and able to avoid it. Matt hits a rising knee strike and goes to the top.  He goes for the shooting star and Cody gets his knees up.  Cody hits a DDT and a two count.

Matt locks in a grounded cobra clutch, but Cody is able to block it and escape.  They go to the ropes and Cody takes them both over the top to the floor.  They get back in and after a pair of missed kick, Cody hits a disaster kick and two count.  Matt hits a rana and a two count.  Matt hits a kick and a lightning spiral for a two count.  Cody avoids a move by Matt and hits Crossroads.  Cody hits a second Crossroads and covers for a three count.

Your winner: Cody

Sirpentico and Luthor charge the ring and start beating down Cody.  Matt takes out Luther, Cody hists a slam on Sirpentico and Snoop comes off the top onto Sirpentico as Cody counts three.

We go to commercials and the way they keep pronouncing the Go Big show it sounds like Paul Wright should be on it. Come on, his Netflix show is over, he's got time.

We come back to Abadon coming to the ring. She is followed by Hikaru Shida.  Abadon attacks her on the stage and Shida fires back with the kendo stick. They fight into the ring and the bell rings.

Shida is able to hit a drop kick onto the seated Abadon so that she can take off the gear she doesn't wear in the ring.  Abadon is left on the side of the ring and Shida goes for the rising knee lift.  Abadon grabs her leg and bites in and they fight outside the ring.  Abadon drags Shida under the ring.  Abadon crawls out alone with blood all around her mouth.  Shida crawls out from under the ring with a wound on her neck.  They get in the ring and Abadon is able to  pummel Shida and then covers her for two.

Abadon beats Shida's head into the mat as we go to picture in picture.  Abadon keeps control through the commercial. When we come back, Shida dodges an attack from Abadon and then leaps onto Abadon on the outside.  She then smashes Abadon into the barricade head first.  Shida brings her to the top and brings her into the ring via a suplex.  Shida runs into a clothesline from Abadon who covers for a two count.  Shida hits a tomashe and covers for a three count.

Your winner and still champion: Hikaru Shida

The announcers go over the card for next week.

We then go to Tay Conti with members of the Dark Order to give a promo for the NWA women's match next week.

It's time for our Main Event and Rey Fenix comes to the ring. We get an insert of Pac putting over Rey Fenix. He says that tonight, Kenny Omega's title reign is done.

Kenny's entrance begins with tons of accolades announced.  We are back to two cleaner girls.  He is followed by Don Callis. We go to commercial and I am excited by the half hour being allotted to the main event.

Kenny Omega (champion) vs Rey Fenix

  • They tie up and Rey turns it into an arm bar on Kenny

  • Rey takes Kenny down with a log lock and Kenny escapes and drives Rey's knee into the mat.  

  • They run the ropes and Kenny ends it with a rana.Kenny sets up for a dive outside the ring and Rey hits a rana

  • They go outside the ring and Rey hits another rana. 

  • Kenny hits a swinging DDT and Rey pops up as he was able to shield himself from it

  • Rey and Kenny brawl outside the ring with Kenny slamming Rey into the barricade.

  • They keep brawling outside the ring and Kenny grabs Rey who was trying for an attack and Kenny is able to reverse it into a snap Dragon suplex.

  • Back in the ring, Kenny hits a Kotaru crusher for a two count. 

  • Kenny follows up with a back breaker and methodically attacks Rey

  • Rey hits a series of chops to fight his way out from underneath.

  • Kenny stops it with a forearm to the back.

  • Rey escapes a move and hits a series of strikes and after Kenny breaks a wrist lock, Rey hits a double springboard and follows it up with a tope onto Kenny outside the ring

  • They are back in the ring and they jockey for position until Rey hits a flip from the buckle over Kenny and then hits Kenny with a German suplex.  Fantastic looking move.

  • Rey hits a diving foot stomp onto the back of Kenny's head as we go to picture in picture

  • THE BIGGEST PICTURE IN PICTURE EVER! EVER!! According to Jericho

  • Rey keeps control on the small screen and get a few two count covers

  • Kenny is able to take control on the small screen and slowly works over Rey

  • When we come back Kenny hits a V Trigger, and he bounces back to nail Kenny with a brutal kick

  • Rey goes for a tornado from the top rope and Kenny avoid it and nails Rey with a kick and a cover for a two

  • Kenny hits the V Trigger and covers for a two count

  • Kenny hits another V Trigger

  • Kenny goes for the one winged angel and Rey is able to escape it with a Frankenstein

  • Callis distracts Rey and Kenny hits a knee when Rey tries to get back in the  ring.

  • Rey is able to leap into the ring with a cutter and a two count

  • Rey hits Kenny with a fire thunder driver and a two count

  • Rey goes to the top for a frog splash, and Kenny gets his knees up.  

  • Kenny takes them to the top for the avalanche fisherman's' buster, but Rey is able to escape.  

  • Instead Kenny hits a Tiger Driver 98 and covers for a two

  • Kenny hits the One Winged Angel and covers for a three count

Your winner and still champion: Kenny Omega

After the match, Don Callis says that something terrible is happening backstage. We see Eddie Kingston, Butcher and Blade beating down Pac and Penta.  Don then tells Kenny to Finish Rey.  Mox comes to the ring with a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire and attacks, but rushing the ring are the Good Brothers!  They attack Mox and a number of wrestlers hit to ring, but are fought off.  As they get ready to further attack Mox, the Young Bucks come out to try to keep the peace.  

Griff Garrison and Pillman grab Kenny, and they are attacked by the Good Brothers and the Bucks.  

Kenny and the Good Brothers throw up the Wolf Sign and after thinking about it, The Young Bucks join them and we are done for the week!
