MLW KINGS OF COLOSSEUM REPORT: TWO TITLE MATCHES, FILTHY ISLAND IS COMING, MATCHES FOR THE NEXT FEW WEEKS ANNOUNCED, AND MORE

Alexander Hammerstone says he has beaten the hell out of Contra Unit millions of times. Start up the mountain, get that title shot, become your new World Champion. Hammerstone says that Contra putting him on the shelf might have been the worst thing because he has been able to train for this one match. I will not lose the diamond chasing the glare. You are just an obstacle in the way between him and Jacob Fatu.

Mads Krugger says that Hammerstone is the longest reigning champion in MLW. Your dominance will be your downfall. Hail Contra.

We are in Orlando, Florida and your announcers are Rich Bocchini and Jared St. Laurent.

They discuss the card for tonight’s Kings of Colosseum show.

Match Number One: Leo Brien and Michael Patrick (with Aria Blake) versus Ross Von Erich and Marshall Von Erich for the MLW Tag Team Championship in a Bunkhouse Match

Ross and Patrick square off while Marshall and Leo fight. Marshall is sent to the floor and Leo hits Ross from behind. Ross is Irish whipped but he ducks a clothesline using the bullrope and Marshall and Ross with a double drop kick. Leo and Ross fight on the floor.

Ross is sent into the apron and Leo bites the forehead. Ross tries to send Brien into the apron but Brien blocks it and he sends Ross into the apron. Marshall punches Brien. They fight to the bar area and then they go outside. Brien punches Marshall while Ross and Patrick exchange punches. Ross sends Patrick over a table. Brien runs his boot across Marshall’s eyes.

They go back inside and Brien hits Marshall with a beverage. They go back into the ringside area. Marshall and Brien exchange punches. Ross kicks Patrick and sends him into the apron. Patrick begs for mercy in the ring and Atia with a low blow to Ross. Brien tries to piledrive Marshall on the stage but Marshall counters with a back body drop.

Aria gets on Ross’ back and the referee pulls her off. Marshall and Ross with a claw slam and belly-to-back suplex combination for the three count.

Winners: Ross Von Erich and Marshall Von Erich (retain championship)

After the match, Ross Von Erich says they signed an open contract to face all comers. 2021 will be a big year for the Von Erichs.

Rich mentions that Simon Gotch is not at the building so his match with Jordan Oliver is in jeopardy.

We take a look back at the finals of the 2020 Opera Cup when Tom Lawlor defeated Low Ki.

Tom Lawlor says since he won the 2020 Opera Cup, Tom Lawlor has been on a high. Him and the Cup have gone everywhere together. We go to the filthiest and seediest Gentlemen’s Clubs in Vegas. Tom says he had replica cups made. This is the first time that Tom Lawlor is sober because it is time for Filthy Island and it will knock your socks off.

We go to Lio Rush. He says there is nobody hotter than the Man of the Hour. You won’t put out this flame.

Myron Reed says he is a fan and to build your legacy, you have to beat your idols.

Lio says although Myron is the champion, the challenge is with him when he faces Lio Rush.

Myron says Lio Rush is no different and he will beat Lio, like he has with all of his challengers.

Rich mentions that the match between Simon Gotch and Jordan Oliver, scheduled for tonight, has been postponed.

Match Number Two: Myron Reed (with Jordan Oliver) versus Lio Rush for the MLW Middleweight Championship

Rush has some words with Oliver on the floor before locking up with Reed. Rush goes for the ankle but Reed stays on his feet. Reed with a wrist lock and arm wringer. Rush with a reversal into an arm bar. Reed with a front face lock and Rush escapes. Rush with a waist lock and he pats Reed on the head. Reed catches Rush on a leap frog attempt and Rush counters with a sunset flip for a near fall.

Rush with a wheelbarrow and tries for a bulldog but Reed with a slingshot slam and a slingshot leg drop for a near fall. Reed goes for a full nelson but Rush with an arm drag. Reed with a kick. Rush with a back elbow. Rush with a kick to the chest. Rush hits the ropes and runs around Reed. Rush sends Reed to the floor. Rush teases a move to the floor and Reed goes to the apron. Rush with a handspring kick to knock Reed off the apron followed by a suicide dive.

Rush sends Reed back into the ring and gets a near fall. Rush with a kick to the back and boots to the back of the head. Rush with a suplex for a near fall. Rush with a mount position and he slaps Reed in the head and applies a reverse chin lock. Rush with crossfaces to Reed and he rakes at the nose. Reed gets back to his feet and connects with forearms. Rush fires back. Reed with a sit out jaw breaker and he goes for a springboard move but Rush catches him. Rush with a rolling kick for a near fall.

Rush kicks Reed in the ribs. Rush sends Reed into the turnbuckles. Rush with punches in the corner. Rush with a belly-to-back suplex for a near fall. Rush with a reverse chin lock. Reed gets Rush on his back and runs Rush into the corner to get out of the hold. Rush gets back on Reed and Reed gets out of the hold by sending Rush into the turnbuckles. Reed with a snap mare and clotheslines.

Reed is sent to the apron and Reed with a slingshot codebreaker. Reed with a plancha onto Rush. Reed sends Rush into the ring and Reed with a springboard back elbow for a near fall. Reed with a half nelson but Rush with elbows. Rush with a victory roll for a near fall. Reed with a half nelson suplex and Rush gets to his feet. Reed with a fireman’s carry slam and thrust kick for a near fall. Reed goes for a springboard move but Rush rolls to the apron next to Reed.

Rush with a kick to the head while Reed is in the ropes. Rush with an Asai moonsault onto Reed. Reed is sent back into the ring. Rush goes for a swinging Unprettier and hits it for a near fall. Reed grabs Rush by the ankle and Reed flips Rush and he lands on his feet. Rush with a clothesline and Reed with a cutter. Rush grabs Reed’s ankle. Reed with forearms and Rush with forearms of his own. Rush and Reed have punches blocked and Rush with a series of strikes but Reed with a boot. Rush with a back heel kick and Reed with a matrix and enzuigiri. Rush goes to the apron and Reed with a leaping cutter over the top rope to the floor. Reed sends Rush back into the ring and Reed misses a springboard 450 splash. Rush with a slingshot cutter and he goes up top for the frog splash and the three count.

Winner: Lio Rush (new Champion)

Lio Rush asks what did you expect when the Man of the Hour steps in an MLW ring. He says he is the 25 year old piece of gold. He is the Man of the Hour. He is the Moneyweight Champion. Myron Reed was the Paperweight Champion. Not only am I a musician, not only am I the hottest agent in the world, not only do I own more things than your life is worth, I am the Middleweight Champion and there is not a thing that anyone can do about it.

Alexander Hammerstone is with Alicia Atout. She asks how does he prepare against a mystery man?

Contra interrupts and Josef Samael says they have been categorized as extremists and a violent group. That is true. He offers the world two gifts for the new year. A new soldier will take arms tonight while his master mercenary takes Hammerstone’s title and career.

Salina de la Renta shows up and she says she is celebrating. What better way to celebrate than have her own Fusion episode. She will be the executive producer next week.

St. Laurent asks her about the big main event.

She says that Los Parks have not been the same since they left her side. They made a deal. If she could get them a title shot, they will join Promociones Dorado. They will face the Von Erichs next week for the tag titles.

Tom Lawlor is the guest referee for that match.

We are also told that on January 20th, ACH will face Jacob Fatu for the MLW World Title.

We go to comments from the former Middleweight Champion Myron Reed.

He says two of the best middleweights stepped in the ring tonight and Lio was the better man tonight. Remember that I am still the Young GOAT. He cannot go out sad. Whatever it takes, I will get my Middleweight Championship back. That is Justice.

Jacob Fatu and Simon Gotch attack Reed and Oliver. Shawn Daivari joins in the attack with Fatu and Gotch.

Match Number Three: Mads Krugger versus Alexander Hammerstone for the MLW National Openweight Championship

Hammerstone and Krugger exchange punches on the floor before the match starts. Hammerstone hits Krugger with the title belt.

The match is started and Krugger with a press slam from the turnbuckles. Krugger runs into a boot in the corner. Hammerstone with punches. Krugger with an Irish whip and Hammerstone goes for a clothesline out of the corner but Krugger stays on his feet. Hammerstone with a shoulder from the apron but Krugger kicks Hammerstone off the apron.

Krugger with punches. Hammerstone with an elbow but Krugger drops Hammerstone on the apron. Krugger sends Hammerstone back into the ring. Krugger with punches in the corner to the midsection. Hammerstone with chops but Krugger with punches and chops. Krugger with an Irish whip and splash into the corner. Krugger misses a boot and Hammerstone with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Hammerstone punches and chops Krugger. Hammerstone with a flying clothesline. Hammerstone with a clothesline in the corner. Krugger with an Irish and he misses a splash. Hammerstone with a bicycle kick in the corner followed by a pump handle suplex for a near fall.

Hammerstone with a bicycle kick and he sets for the Nightmare Pendulum but Krugger blocks it and grabs Hammerstone by the throat. Krugger punches Hammerstone and he pushes the referee. Hammerstone punches Krugger and then the referee tries to separate them. Krugger with punches and elbows to Hammerstone and the referee is pushed again. Krugger chokes Hammerstone and sends him to the floor.

Krugger follows and Hammerstone with an elbow and forearms. Krugger with forearms and then they exchange punches. Hammerstone is sent into the ring post and he punches Hammerstone. They fight onto the stage and Krugger and Hammerstone exchange punches. Krugger with a punch and he chokes out Hammerstone.
