WWE HIRES NEW SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, CREATIVE WRITING

World Wrestling Entertainment today announced the hiring of Christine Lubrano as the company's new Senior Vice President, Creative Writing Operations:

Lubrano has spent over 20 years in the television industry, 18 of it at the IFC cable network.  While with IFC, she helped spearhead and launch Portlandia, Documentary Now!, The Baroness Von Sketch Show, Funny or Die's The Spoils Before Dying and was nominated for am Emmy for the documentary Monty Python: Almost the Truth (the Lawyer’s Cut) for which she earned an an Emmy® nomination. 

At IFC, Lubrano most recently held the position of Senior Vice President, Original Programming & Development.  During her time there, Lubrano "oversaw the development and production of all IFC original series (scripted, co- productions, alternative & live) contributing to the networks most celebrated and critically acclaimed programming, " according to her resume on LinkedIn.

Lubrano departed IFC in 2019, launching her own company, Lubrano Media.
