FORMER WWE STAR WANTS TO RECRUIT JOHN CENA TO ALL JAPAN?, TAJIRI SIGNS, DRAGON GATE, IBUSHI TALKS AND MORE FROM JAPAN

All Japan Pro Wrestling held its first New Years Wars show in Korakuen Hall today.

The full results were:

• Izanagi and Shigehiro Irie def. Atsuki Aoyagi and Rising HAYATO
• Chikara, Ryuji Hijikata, Takayuki Ueki and Yoshitatsu def. Black Menso~re, Osamu Nishimura, Ryuki Honda and Takao Omori
• Koji Doi and Kuma Arashi def. Dan Tamura and Hikaru Sato
• Hokuto Omori, Shotaro Ashino and Yusuke Kodama def. Francesco Akira, Jake Lee and TAJIRI
• Battle Royal: The Bodyguard
• Fuminori Abe and Takuya Nomura def. Ikuto Hidaka and Koji Iwamoto
• Masato Tanaka def. Zeus
• World Tag Team Championships: Kento Miyahara and Yuma Aoyagi def. Shuji Ishikawa and SUWAMA (c)

Ryuki Honda and TAJIRI were announced as full-time members of the All Japan roster.

Fuminori Abe pinned Koji Iwamoto and challenged Iwamoto to a World Junior Heavyweight Championship match.

Kento Miyahara and Yuma Aoyagi won the World Tag Team Championships from Shuji Ishikawa and SUWAMA in the main event after Aoyagi defeated SUWAMA by referee stoppage. Aoyagi is also set to challenge SUWAMA for the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship tomorrow.

Following the loss, Ishikawa and SUWAMA will no longer team together. Abdullah Kobayashi and Daisuke Sekimoto appeared after the match to challenge for the World Tag Team Championships. Kobayashi pinned Miyahara on the first night of the Real World Tag League, setting up this challenge.

All Japan will hold its second New Years Wars show in Korakuen Hall tomorrow. The full card is:

• All Asia Tag Team Championships: Izanagi and Zeus (c) vs. Hokuto Omori and Koji Doi
• GAORA TV Championship: Yoshitatsu (c) vs. Jun Kasai
• Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship: SUWAMA (c) vs. Yuma Aoyagi

Izanagi and Zeus will attempt their second defense of the All Asia Tag Team Championships against Hokuto Omori and Koji Doi.

Yoshitatsu will attempt his tenth defense of the GAORA TV Championship against deathmatch legend Jun Kasai.

It seems Yoshitatsu might not be going into his match fully focused, as he is also recruiting John Cena to join him in All Japan after Cena followed him on Twitter

Tomorrow’s main event will be SUWAMA’s fourth defense of the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship.

Big Japan Pro Wrestling held a show in Korakuen Hall today.

Yasufumi Nakanoue defeated Yuji Okabayashi to win the BJW World Strong Heavyweight Championship. Kuma Arashi and Ryota Hama celebrated with Nakanoue after the match.

Takumi Tsukamoto defeated Minoru Fujita to win the BJW Deathmatch Heavyweight Championship in the main event.

Pro Wrestling FREEDOMS

Pro Wrestling FREEDOMS held a show in Shin-Kiba 1st Ring today, highlighted by a new tournament to determine Toru Sugiura’s next challenger for the King Of FREEDOM World Championship.

The full results were:

• Tournament final: Toshiyuki Sakuda def. Daisuke Masaoka

Toshiyuki Sakuda will face Sugiura for the title at FREEDOMS’ show in Korakuen Hall on February 9.

Pro Wrestling ZERO1

Pro Wrestling ZERO1 has announced the full card for its January 10 show in its dojo, as well as partial cards for its shows in Shin-Kiba 1st Ring on January 14, Korakuen Hall on February 7 and Ry?goku Kokugikan on March 14.

There will be two or three more matches on the January 14 show and three or four more matches on the February 7 show. Naomichi Marufuji versus Shoki Kitamura has also been confirmed for the March 14 show.

Dragon Gate

Dragon Gate stars Kota Minoura and Shun Skywalker will appear at Okinawa promotion Ryukyu Dragon Pro Wrestling’s show tomorrow, kick starting the new working relationship between the two companies.

Skywalker will team with Gurukun Mask against Churaumi Saver and Hibiscus Mii, while Minoura will team with Rekka against Katsumi Oribe and Shuri Joe.

YAMATO and Yosuke Santa Maria are also scheduled to appear at RDPW’s show on February 14, while various RDPW wrestlers will feature on Dragon Gate’s two shows in Okinawa on June 19 and 20.

New Japan Pro Wrestling

New Japan Pro Wrestling continued its interview series in the build up to Wrestle Kingdom 15 with Kota Ibushi today.

Topics discussed include his complex relationship with Tetsuya Naito, creating his own faction in New Japan, the possibility of facing Jay White on January 5 and much more.

DDT Pro-Wrestling

DDT Pro-Wrestling will hold a show in Korakuen Hall tomorrow, however the entire card is a mystery. The full results will be covered tomorrow.
