Kazusada Higuchi and Yukio Sakaguchi will make their first defense of the KO-D Tag Team Championships against CIMA and Soma Takao on January 9. Yuki Ueno will make his second defense of the DDT Universal Championship against Shota on the same show.

Ayato Yoshida made his fifth successful defense of the 2AW Openweight Championship against Shigehiro Irie in the main event.

Pro Wrestling ZERO1

Pro Wrestling ZERO1 has announced the full card for its show in Korakuen Hall on January 1.

The full card is:

• Kazuki Hashimoto vs. Satsuki Nagao
• Shoki Kitamura and Takumi Baba vs. Soma Watanabe and Takanori Ito
• Chris Vice and Yoshikazu Yokoyama vs. Hartley Jackson and Yuko Miyamoto
• Asuka and Takuya Sugawara vs. Hide Kubota and Yasu Kubota
• Aja Kong, Shinjiro Otani and Yumehito Imanari vs. CIMA, El Lindaman and T-Hawk
• World Heavyweight Championship: Hayato Tamura (c) vs. Masato Tanaka

Hayato Tamura will attempt his third defense of the World Heavyweight Championship against Masato Tanaka. The pair wrestled to a 30-minute time limit draw during the Fire Festival tournament in October.

CIMA appeared at ZERO1’s show on Christmas Day and said he wants to face the winner of the match. With ZERO1’s twentieth anniversary show in Ry?goku Kokugikan on March 14 rapidly approaching, it will be interesting to see if CIMA challenges for the title before then.

Two people who will seemingly not be challenging for the title at Ry?goku Kokugikan are SUGI and Towa Iwasaki, as ZERO1 announced today they will both leave the company after December 31.

It is still possible both men continue to make appearances with the company as freelancers if they do not sign elsewhere. Iwasaki was considered by many as the future of ZERO1. Instead, he leave the company two months after he finished without a win in the Fire Festival.

Pro Wrestling FREEDOMS

Pro Wrestling FREEDOMS has announced the full card for its show in Shin-Kiba 1st Ring on January 2, highlighted by a new tournament to determine Toru Sugiura’s next challenger for the King Of FREEDOM World Championship.

The full card is:

• Kamui and Toru Sugiura vs. Mammoth Sasaki and Violento Jack
• Dragon Libre, GENTARO and Takashi Sasaki vs. Jun Kasai, Masashi Takeda and Rina Yamashita
• Alejandro, Kengo and Yuya Susumu vs. Brahman Kei, Brahman Shu and Tatsuhito Takaiwa
• Daisuke Masaoka vs. Kenji Fukimoto
• Tomoya Hirata vs. Toshiyuki Sakuda

The winner of the contendorship tournament will face Sugiura for the title at FREEDOMS’ show in Korakuen Hall on February 9.

Pro Wrestling NOAH will hold a show in Korakuen Hall tomorrow produced by Sugiura-gun.
