WWE NXT UK REPORT: EVERYONE WITH HOLIDAY WISHES AND A LOOK BACK AT 2020

Your host this week is Andy Shepherd and he is joined by Rudolph and Frosty.

He says that he wants to present some highlights from the year. We start off with a look at the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Cup Tournament.

Match Number One:  Pete Dunne and Matt Riddle versus Flash Morgan Webster and Mark Andrews in a Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic First Round Match (from NXT episode January 15, 2020)

Dunne and Andrews start things off and Andrews with a side head lock.  Riddle makes the tag and Andrews with a head scissors.  Riddle misses a moonsault and Webster tags in.  Webster misses Dunne.  Ridldle with a waist lock take down into a double wrist lock.  Dunne tags in and they work on the hands and stomp on them.  Dunne with a wrist lock and Riddle tags in.  Dunne with an Irish whip and Webster with an elbow and kick to Dunne followed by a head scissors to Riddle.  Andrews tags in and Andrews drops Webster onto Riddle and then hits a moonsault for a near fall.  Webster tags in and he goes up top.and hits a stomp to the arm.  Riddle with a gutwrench suplex and holds on and rolls through into a second one.

Riddle holds on and rolls through for a third but Andrews tries to interfere and Riddle with a back body drop to Andrews before hitting the third gutwrench suplex.  Dunne tags in and Dunne flips Riddle onto Webster's leg with a senton.  Dunne stomps the knees into the mat and kicks Webster.  Dunne with a snap mare and Riddle is tagged in.  Riddle with kicks to the back and a forearm followed by a slam.  Riddle gets a near fall.  Webster wtih a drop kick and Dunne tags in and keeps Webster from tagging in.  Webster lands on his feet but Dunne keeps Webster from making the tag.  Dunne with an X Plex and Riddle tags in and hits a back senton for a near fall.

Riddle chops Webster and he tags Dunne in.  Webster with forearms and chops but Dunne sends Webster into the corner.  Webster avoids Riddle and Dunne and makes the tag.  Andrews with a rana to Dunne and Andrews slides under and hits a pele kick.  Andrews is sent to the apron and Andrews with an enzuigiri.  Andrews with a victory roll into a DDT on Riddle.  Webster tags in and they hit stereo flip dives.  Websgter flips Andrews onto Dunne with a 450 splash for a near fall.  Webster goes for a Tiger Driver but Dunne escapes.  Webster with a kick and he goes for a springboard move and is met with a forearm from Dunne.

Andrews tags in and Dunne blocks a full nelson and Dunne flips out of the corner and hits an enzuigiri and a German suplex.  Dunne stomps on the hand and kicks Andrews.  Riddle tags in and Dunne with an X Plex into a power bomb.  Dunne and Riddle with kicks and Webster breaks up the cover.  Dunne and Webster go the floor and Dunne sends Webster into the apron.  Riddle with a German suplex to Andrews for a near fall.  Riddle goes for a suplex but Andrews lands on his feet.  Riddle with a knee and he gets a near fall when Andrews has his hand on the ropes.  Riddle with a back senton and Dunne tags in.

Dunne stomps on the legs and he applies an ankle lock.  Andrews rolls through to escape.  Andrews with a Northern Lights suplex and a double stomp.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Webster with a moonsault onto Dunne and Riddle.  Webster drops Riddle off the apron and then he hits a springboard drop kick to knock Dunne off the apron.  Webster goes up top and hits a swanton onto Riddle and Dunne on the floor.  Riddle tags in and Webster with a kick.  Andrews tags in and Mark goes up top but Riddle pushes Webster away and Riddle catches Andrews.  Andrews with a reverse rana after a kick from Webster and Andrews gets a near fall.  Webster tags in and Andrews with a moonsault off the apron onto Dunne and Andrews with a tornado DDT.  Riddle spears Webster and then he spears Andrews.  Riddle goes for a jackhammer but Webster with an inside cradle for a near fall.

Riddle with a Pele Kick and Dunne with a kick for a near fall.  Riddle tags in and Dunne goes for an X Plex into a power bomb but Webster with a rana.  Dunne with a forearm to knock Andrews into the cover to break it up.  Dunne and Andrews tags in.  Dunne with a kick to the back of the head.  Andrews counters an X Plex into Stundog Millionaire.  Webster with a suicide dive but Riddle catches Webster and hits Bro Derek.  Andrews comes off the turnbuckles into a forearm.  Riddle and Dunne hit a Bitter End and Bro 2 Sleep Combination for the three count.

Winners:  Matt Riddle and Pete Dunne (advance to face Imperium in the second round)

We go to holiday wishes from the wrestlers.

Tyler Bate wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Xia Brookside wishes everyone a Merry Christmas. Jordan says he was asked by management to wish you a Merry Christmas so here it goes. He says your gift is one more year, twelve more months of the reign of the longest reigning Cruiserweight Champion. Amale wishes everyone a Merry Christmas. Levi Muir wishes everyone a Happy Holidays. Aoife Valkyrie wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and thanks everyone for making her debut year something she won’t forget. Tyson T-Bone wishes everyone a Happy New Year. Flash Morgan Webster wishes everyone a Merry Christmas to almost everyone on the NXT UK roster, except for Eddie Dennis and the Hunt.

We are back with more comments from the Superstars. A-Kid wishes everyone a Merry Christmas. Isla Dawn wishes everyone a Happy and Joyful Celebration. Joseph Conners says this is time to determine if you worthy or unworthy. Do you know which one you are? Pretty Deadly have a message and tell everyone to stay safe and even if your lives aren’t as great as ours, have a Merry Christmas. Piper Niven wishes everyone a Happy Holiday and a Merry Christmas. Sam Gradwell has a few festive pleasantries. Have a Merry Christmas and calls everyone a bunch of joggers and then his son joins in. Eddie Dennis says James Penney says the spirit of Christmas is the spirit of giving and forgiving. Flash and Mark, I don’t forgive. The Hunt has a present for you.

Jinny says it is time to take some time and look back at this year. Be proud of what you have achieved no matter how irrelevant they or you are. We showed how passionate every roster member is about this great business. I came back even more ruthless and fabulous as before. I continued to inspire millions around the world. You will never be as great or fabulous as me, you can be mediocre, just like Piper Niven. The year 2021 is around the corner and it will give us a clean slate. Someone of my prestige and caliber does not write in a book. I have an assistant to do that. I will put all of the women of this division in their place and I will become the NXT Women’s Champion. You won’t have as spectacular day as I will to celebrate Christmas but I hope you will be able to celebrate with what little you have.

We go to Dave Mastiff. He says because it is a special time of year, he will be Banter Claus. He was given the Christmas lists from the superstars.

Jack Starz says he would love some life insurance. Tyson T-Bone would like some crayons to color himself in with. Noam Dar would like great big Gobstopper. Ilja Dragunov would like some decaf coffee and a meditation guide. Triple H would like a mulitpack of flavored water. Joe Coffey would like a brand new cricket bat.

When the NXT UK roster wakes up on Christmas morning, they will know if they are on the naughty or nice list. If they are on the naughty list, they will get a season’s beating from Dave Mastiff.

Mark Andrews wishes everyone celebrating a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holidays, except for Eddie Dennis and the Hunt. Mark sings Jingle Bells. Ashton Smith says if you are lucky enough to be around your loved ones, give them a hug and a kiss. If not, just give them a call. Aleah James wishes everyone a Merry Christmas. Amir Jordan wishes everyone a Happy Holidays. Dani Luna wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Kenny Williams says he hopes you are luckier than him when it comes to gifts. Oliver Carter wishes everyone a Merry Christmas.

Match Number Two:  WWE UK Championship Match: WALTER versus Joe Coffey (from NXT Takeover Blackpool 2)

WALTER goes for a boot as the bell rings but Coffey gets out of the way.  They lock up and go to a stalemate.  They lock up and Coffey slaps WALTER on the break.  WALTER with a forearm and sleeper but Coffey with a Saito suplex.  WALTER goes to the floor.  Coffey kicks WALTER off the apron and then Coffey with a flying shoulder tackle off the apron.  Joe with punches but WALTER with a European uppercut.  WALTER breaks the referee's count and Joe with an Irish whip into the ringside barrier.  Joe is back body dropped into the crowd but Joe with a shoulder tackle back into the ringside area.  They return to the ring.

Joe with punches in the corner and the referee warns Joe.  WALTER with a forearm but Joe with a belly-to-belly suplex for a near fall.  Joe goes to the turnbuckles and WALTER has a punch blocked.  Joe with a tornado DDT for a near fall.  Joe sets for a suplex but WALTER blocks it.  Both men try for suplexes but neither can get their opponent up.  Joe and WALTER exchange punches.  Joe with a rolling elbow and a suplex for a near fall.  Joe with a chop and WALTER is not happy.  WALTER tells Joe to do it again and Joe obliges.  

Joe with another chop but WALTER shows Joe how it is done.  WALTER with a forearm to Joe.  They go to teh floor and WALTER wtih another chop.  WALTER with a running boot to the head and WALTER returns to the ring.  Joe with chops but WALTER with a slam and seated splash for a near fall.  WALTER with a reverse chin lock followed by knees.  WALTER grabs the ankle and applies a single leg crab.  WALTER turns it into an STF and a head lock.  Coffey gets to the ropes.

WALTER with forearms and a chop across the chest.  Joe with European uppercuts but WALTER with a forearm and he works on the neck.  WALTER with a forearm across the chest and he connects with another one.  Joe blocks a forearm and connects with punches to knock WALTER to the mat.  Joe goes up top and WALTER catches Joe and applies a Boston Crab.  WALTER with the STF and elbows to the jaw.  WALTER with a cravate and then he turns it into a crossface chicken wing.  Coffey gets to the ropes and WALTER releases the hold.

WALTER with a chop.  WALTER with another chop but Joe ducks a third and Joe with a clothesline.  WALTER with a forearm.  Joe and WALTER go for shoulder tackles but neither man budges.  WALTER with a suplex for a near fall.  WALTER with a rear naked choke but Joe gets WALTER on his back and falls back to get out of the hold.  Joe tries to get WALTER on his shoulders and he does it.  WALTER with punches to escape.  Joe with a flying shoulder tackle to send WALTER into the turnbuckles.  Joe with a deadlift German suplex for a near fall.

Joe with a punch and WALTER stops Joe on the turnbuckles.  Joe gets away and hits a moonsault for a near fall.  WALTER with a boot but Joe with a clothesline and WALTER responds with a chop.  WALTER with another chop and a power bomb for a near fall.  WALTER returns to the sleeper.  Joe with a snap mare to escape and a flying shoulder tackle.  WALTER goes for a running drop kick and Joe moves but the referee goes down.  Joe with punches and a power bomb but there is no referee so he can cover WALTER as long as he wants but it won't do anything for Joe.

Alexander Wolfe comes to the ring and he kicks Coffey.  Wolfe tries to get WALTER to focus on things.  Ilja Dragunov with punches and a kick to Wolfe.  Ilja with Torpedo Moscow to Wolfe but Wolfe hits Coffey and Coffey falls to the floor.  WALTER clotheslines Dragunov.  WALTER with a running boot to Coffey on the floor.  WALTER sends Joe into the ring steps.  WALTER with a power bomb onto the apron.  WALTER with a clothesline and a second referee finally makes his way to the ring but Coffey kicks out.

Dragunov and Wolfe fight to the back.  

WALTER goes up top but Joe with a chop.  Joe's knee gives out as he tries to set for a superplex.  WALTER with chops and Joe falls to the mat.  Joe with a jumping uppercut and Joe hits an overhead belly-to-belly superplex.  WALTER with a forearm and Joe fires back.  WALTER and Joe with forearm and WALTER kicks the injured knee.  Joe iwth punches and then he blocks a chop.  Joe iwth punches that stagger WALTER.  Joe is pulled back by the referee and WALTER kicks Joe in the knee.  WALTER kicks Joe in the back of the leg and WALTER goes up top and hits a frog splash for a near fall.  

WALTER sets for a power bomb but Joe blocks it   Joe lands on his feet and hits a discus clothesline and he hits a second one.  Joe gets a near fall.  WALTER with a sleeper and Joe rolls through but WALTER holds on into a reverse chin lock.  WALTER returns to the sleeper and WALTER with a kick to the back and a forearm to the back.  Joe gets to the ropes to force a release of the hold.  WALTER with a sleeper suplex and power bomb.  WALTER with a chop to the back and WALTER with a power bomb and he goes for a rear naked choke.  Joe taps out.

Winner:  WALTER (retains championship)
