PRO WRESTLING NOAH GIFT IN NAGOYA RESULTS, NEW JAPAN, GLEAT, DDT AND MORE FROM JAPAN

Pro Wrestling NOAH held its THE GIFT 2020 in NAGOYA show in Nagoya Congress Center today.

NOSAWA Rongai caused HAYATA and Yoshinari Ogawa to be disqualified in the third match. Ogawa sought revenge during Kotaro Suzuki’s match against Susumu and the impromptu six-man tag team match involving Rongai’s mystery masked partner also ended in a no contest.

Daisuke Harada made his first successful defense of the GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship against Tadasuke. Kazushi Sakuraba and Takashi Sugiura made their third successful defense of the GHC Tag Team Championships against Kaito Kiyomiya and Yoshiki Inamura.

Rongai revealed his mystery masked partner is a personal friend and a heavyweight wrestler. This backs up NOAH’s most recent roster chart (which can be viewed here).

Interestingly, despite being a heavyweight, the masked man has appeared shorter than most of the junior heavyweight wrestlers he has interacted with. He will debut at NOAH’s show on December 20 produced by Sugiura-gun.

New Japan Pro Wrestling

New Japan Pro Wrestling aired its second DETONATION special on NJPW STRONG last night.

GLEAT announced yesterday it will upload Soma Watanabe versus Takanori Ito in a UWF Rules match on its YouTube channel on December 31, and also seemed to reveal CIMA, El Lindaman and T-Hawk will appear in the promotion in 2021.
