AEW Champion Kenny Omega vs. Rey Fenix will headline the 12/30 edition of AEW Dynamite, it was announced at the close of tonight's episode.
The storyline is that Fenix never truly lost and was eliminated from the AEW Top Contender's Eliminator Tournament, so PAC went to AEW President Tony Khan and had a match made official in an attempt to correct that "injustice."
Fenix had suffered an injury during his win over Penta, leading to him instead pulling out and Penta continuing on in the tourney.
