ROH TOUTS FIRST EVER PURE RULES TAG MATCH FOR FINAL BATTLE

Ring of Honor announced the following:

TRACY WILLIAMS, RHETT TITUS TAKE ON FRED YEHI, WHEELER YUTA IN FIRST-EVER PURE RULES TAG MATCH AT FINAL BATTLE

History will be made when the first-ever Pure Rules tag-tag team match takes place at the Final Battle pay-per-view on Dec. 18.

The Foundation’s Tracy Williams and Rhett Titus will face Fred Yehi and Wheeler Yuta as part of ROH’s biggest show of the year.

Williams has thrived since Pure wrestling returned to ROH several months ago. “Hot Sauce” made it all the way to the finals of the Pure Title Tournament and pinned two-time former ROH World Champion Jay Lethal along the way. Last week on “Ring of Honor Wrestling,” Williams defeated former Pure Champion John Walters.

Titus, who has long been one of the most underrated athletes in ROH, was recently welcomed into The Foundation by Pure Champion Jonathan Gresham, Lethal and Williams. The group is on a mission to bring Pure wrestling to the forefront of the sport.

Yehi and Yuta are two of the top free agents in pro wrestling and both had strong showings in the Pure Title Tournament. Yehi upset Silas Young before losing to Williams, while Yuta nearly knocked off Gresham in the first round.

In addition to the standard rules for Pure singles matches, the following rules will be in effect for Pure tag-team contests:

* A legal tag requires the wrestler on the apron to reach over the top rope and tag his partner hand-to-hand while holding the tag rope with his other hand.

* Each wrestler has five seconds to exit the ring after a tag is made.

* Each time a team breaks up a pinfall or submission, that team will lose a rope break. Breaking up a pinfall or submission when a team is out of rope breaks will result in a disqualification.
