COVID-19 SUSPECTED IN PASSING OF TOM 'TINY' LISTER JR.

By Mike Johnson on 2020-12-11 09:59:00

Cindy Cowan, the manager for actor and former WWF star Tom "Tiny' Lister Jr. (aka Zeus) told CNN.com that Lister had gotten sick a week ago and based on the symptoms, believes he may have contracted COVID-19.

Cowan said Lister's symptoms "got really bad, really quick," and that he couldn't breathe and felt weak.

"It literally went so fast," Cowan added.

Lister, 62, was supposed to begin filming a new movie this past weekend but canceled due to how ill he was.

The Hollywood Reporter, in their reporting on Lister's passing, noted that he had contracted and beaten COVID-19 earlier this year as well.

Police were called to Lister's home yesterday after he stopped responding to phone calls Wednesday night and didn't respond to visitors at his home yesterday.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department told CNN it appears Lister passed away of "natural causes" but they are investigating.

During his time with WWF, Lister main evented against Hulk Hogan as part of a promotional campaign for the company's first-ever film No Holds Barred.
