OSU Premium
For the sake of clarity, the likes of Bull Nakano and Shark Tsuchiya will not be coming out of retirement for OSU Premium’s debut show in Shinjuku FACE on December 26.
Retired stars will appear in wrestling gear, make full entrances but not physically wrestle a match. Tsuchiya, for instance, has a prosthetic leg.
It is not dissimilar to other talk show wrestling events in Japan and offers fans the chance to relive memories of their favourite wrestlers from the past.
Other legends making appearances in non-wrestling capacity include Cutie Suzuki, Dump Matsumoto, Jumbo Hori, Megumi Kudo, Rumi Kazama and Yukari Omori.
However, there will still be wrestling at the event. Advertised matches include:
• El Lindaman and T-Hawk vs. Great Sasuke and Hayato Tamura
• Aja Kong, Tsukasa Fujimoto and ‘X’ vs. Michiko Omukai, Sareee and Yumiko Hotta
• CIMA and Daisuke Sekimoto vs. Masato Tanaka vs. Shinjiro Otani
