All Japan Pro Wrestling

Yusuke Okada will leave All Japan Pro Wrestling at the end of the year due to contract expiry and become a freelancer, it was announced at a press conference today. His last appearance under contract will take place at All Japan’s show in Korakuen Hall on December 13 teaming with Chikara and Yoshitatsu against Jun Kasai, Kenji Fukimoto and Masashi Takeda.

Hikaru Sato confirmed on Twitter Okada will also no longer compete in Sato’s one-night junior heavyweight tag team tournament on December 27 in Shin-Kiba 1st Ring. The updated field is:

• Atsuki Aoyagi and Rising HAYATO
• Black Menso~re and SUSHI
• Dan Tamura and Hikaru Sato
• Fuminori Abe and Koji Iwamoto
• Hokuto Omori and Yusuke Kodama

As expected, All Japan has confirmed Kento Miyahara and Yuma Aoyagi will challenge Shuji Ishikawa and SUWAMA for the World Tag Team Championships on January 2 and Aoyagi will face SUWAMA for the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship on January 3.

It will be Ishikawa and SUWAMA’s sixth defense of the World Tag Team Championships and SUWAMA’s fourth defense of the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship.

New Japan Pro Wrestling

New Japan Pro Wrestling has announced the full cards for its two DETONATION episodes of NJPW STRONG on December 11 and 18.

The full cards are:

December 11
• Clark Connors and The DKC vs. Logan Riegel and Sterling Riegel
• Chase Owens, HIKULEO and Tanga Loa vs. David Finlay, Juice Robinson and Misterioso

The main event of the December 18 episode will be KENTA’s fourth defense of the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship challenge rights certificate briefcase. He successfully defended it against Jeff Cobb on the September 11 episode of NJPW STRONG, against Hiroshi Tanahashi at Power Struggle on November 7 and against David Finlay on the November 20 episode of NJPW STRONG.

Active Advance Pro Wrestling

Active Advance Pro Wrestling has announced the full card for its December 28 show in Korakuen Hall.

The full card is:

• Chicharito Shoki and Takuro Niki vs. Daiki Wakamatsu and Naka Shuma
• Kyu Mogami and Shunsuke Sayama vs. Ricky Fuji and Rina Shingaki
• Quiet Storm vs. Taylor Adams

The main event will be Yoshida’s fifth defense of the 2AW Openweight Championship.

Pro Wrestling NOAH

It seems Naomichi Marufuji might be heading towards a singles match against fellow M’s Alliance member Masakatsu Funaki at Pro Wrestling NOAH’s return to the Nippon Budokan next February.

NOAH announced it will hold its Destination 2021 show in the Nippon Budokan at NOAH the BEST ~FINAL CHRONICLE 2020~ on December 6 and NOAH expert Hisame has translated Marufuji’s backstage promo from the show.

Marufuji teamed with Keiji Mutoh, Funaki and Yuko Miyamoto against Daiki Inaba, Kaito Kiyomiya, Shuhei Taniguchi and Yoshiki Inamura in a losing effort. He said: “For NOAH, it will be the first time in eleven years at the Nippon Budokan.

“Personally, I have a strong feeling for that. But since I have been working with the M’S Alliance in 2020, I would like the members of the M’s Alliance to rise up.

“We will never break up until we all take the top. Do you know why? I am scared to do anything with Funaki. Funaki is scary, right?”
