WWE NXT has announced a "New Year's Evil" special for their 1/6/21 episode on the USA Network. The plan is to build it as a major special similar to October's Halloween Havoc. New Year's Evil was a name used by WCW for an episode of Monday Nitro back in December 1999. The name was initially conceived by EWric Bischoff with plans to have a New Year's Eve PPV that year that would be a combination WCW Wrestling/Kiss Concert event but the idea was shot down by Turner officials at the time. Instead, the name was used for that Nitro episode. WWE would own the intellectual property for the name by virtue of their March 2001 purchase of WCW.
It appears Candice LeRae suffered an injury to her arm when he was caught under a chair after Shotzi Blackheart dove off a ladder. LeRae was holding her arm after the bout and was checked out after the match. We don't have a 100% confirmation at this time, but the fear is she may have broken a bone.
