LAREDO KID CALLS OUT KENNY OMEGA, AAA TRIPLEMANIA UPDATES

Lucha Libre AAA World Wide has uploaded a Laredo Kid promo directed at Kenny Omega ahead of the duo’s AAA Mega Championship match at TripleMania 28, although a date for the show is yet to be confirmed.

December 5th has been reported as the tentatively planned date for the show, although no official announcement has been made yet as the company monitors the COVID-19 situation in Mexico.

However, if AAA wants to hold to hold the show in December, it seems more and more likely it will have to take place without fans. The show is scheduled to take place in Arena Ciudad de México and restrictions have tightened in Mexico City.

Should Omega be able to defend the championship next month, it will be Omega’s fourth defense. He has successfully defended it against Jack Evans on AEW Dark last November, Dragon Lee at Triplemanía Regia last December and Sammy Guevara on AEW Dynamite in March.

Two more matches have been announced for TripleMania 28. Chessman will face Pagano in a Hair vs. Hair match and there will be a tag team match debuting AAA’s new Marvel-themed wrestlers.

Aracno (Spider-Man) and Leyenda Americana (Captain America) will face Terror Púrpura (Thanos) and Venenoide (Venom).

Impact Wrestling’s Kylie Rae was reportedly set to portray one of the Marvel-themed wrestlers under a mask, but she has since left the wrestling business.

While no match announcements have been made since the initial press conference on October 26, Carlito, Epico, Lio Rush and Primo are all expected to compete at TripleMania per Hugo Savinovich.

The final match card will consist of seven matches.
