PWInsider.com is sad to pass on that Alex Trebek, the longtime and beloved host of television game show Jeopardy passed away this morning following a long battle with pancreatic cancer at 80 years old.

Trebek appeared as a celebrity guest star at WrestleMania 7 in March 1991 in Los Angeles, working as a ring announcer for the main event, which saw Hulk Hogan defeat Sgt. Slaughter. Trebek also conducted backstage interviews at the show and appeared in vignette segments to promote the Pay-Per-View.
