AAW ALIVE! 2 ON FITE.TV REPORT

By Case Lowe on 2020-10-30 08:54:00

Ace Romero won a four-way match against Travis Titan, Cody Lane, & Brayden Lee. Romero continues to be a worthy focal point of the promotion and one of their best stars. This was Brayden Lee’s debut. He has a great body and a strong foundation. Every indie in the midwest should be taking a look at him.

Skye Blue scored a surprising upset over Sierra. These two are both very green but very capable of putting it all together with more experience.

Manders defeated Ace Perry in a lengthy match that gave both men a chance to show off their offense. Manders comes across tougher than just about any wrestler on the indies today. His Iowa Stampede is an excellent finish.

CH and Fred Yehi went to a 20 minute time limit draw. This match would’ve fit right in with the ROH Pure Title Tournament. There was very little flying. ACH and Yehi produced 20 minutes of engaging, quality grappling that would’ve played great in front of a full crowd. ACH scored a brainbuster that looked like it was going to lead to the finish, but the time limit expired before he could get the pinfall. This was right in the four star range. Worth checking out for sure.

Matthew Justice pinned Jake Crist in a wild brawl. Crist did an ace crusher off the stage through two doors and a stack of chairs that looked incredibly painful. Justice is as good of a brawler as there is in America.

Blake Christian scored a surprise win over Stephen Wolf who turned heel last month. Wolf is working a much more grounded style and spent a majority of the match beating down Christian before he scored the flash pin. After the match, Wolf beat him down once more.

Ace Austin & Madman Fulton retained the AAW Tag Titles over Gringo Loco & Angel Dorado. Austin and Fulton have real HBK-Diesel vibes as a tag team.

Hakim Zane & Karam pinned Mance Warner & Jake Something with Zane scoring the fall over AAW Champion Mance Warner. Zane jumps off the screen in AAW. Given that Zane is the current Heritage Champion, this could lead to a title vs. title match down the road.

Once again, AAW’s iPPV offering is worth your time, even just to dip in for ACH vs. Yehi. This show was laced with top notch production and promo segments in between the matches. It’s a nice change of pace from the free-for-all atmosphere that is widely being offered by most indies.
