BILLIE KAY'S FUTURE GROWS MORE UNCERTAIN AFTER PEYTON ROYCE SPLIT

Billie Kay couldn’t help but react to seeing her former tag-team partner Peyton Royce in action with someone else.

Kay was separated from fellow Australian Royce after the duo lost to Riott Squad at RAW a few weeks back. That then forced Kay and Royce to go head-to-head against each other. Royce won and Kay was soon drafted over to SmackDown to end any chance of them teaming up once more.

It all means that Kay is now facing an uncertain future in the WWE. That’s highlighted further by her huge odds for success in the next women’s Royal Rumble. She is an 80/1 with Betfair and even her fans back home won’t be tempted to get involved with them or other best domestic bookmakers in Australia.

The decision to split Kay from her former school friend had many believing Royce was set for bigger things as a single star.

However, Royce appeared in a Fatal Four-Way with Lacey Evans during the latest Monday Night RAW. They faced WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions the Riott Squad, as well as Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler, and Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose.

Kay reacted on social media to seeing Royce and Evans together. She commented underneath footage of them with a gif that said: “Nope, Don’t Like That.”

It just proves how quickly things can change in the world largest pro wrestling promotion.

Kay and Royce, known as the IIconics, became the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions at WrestleMania last year.

They were the first female Australian tag team to make it to the top of the WWE.

It was a quick rise to the top for Kay after first receiving a try-out during the WWE tour of Australia in 2014. She became a NXT trainee in 2015 and made her televised ring debut that same year.

Her rise continued before she joined with Royce in the IIconics. The pair made their debut in 2018 and were crowned tag-team champions less than a year later.

However, handing Royce a new partner made the call to end Kay and Royce’s time together even more confusing and left many fearing Kay is on the brink of being completely frozen out.
