2020 WWE SURVIVOR SERIES PREVIEW

By Kendall Jenkins on 2020-10-23 07:42:00

WWE’s annual Survivor Series pay-per-view event is scheduled to take place on November 22, 2020 and will likely continue to take place at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, behind closed doors as the situation around the United States remains at a high level, despite having originally been scheduled to take place at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

It might still be a little too early to create predictions about what might happen at the PPV, however there could be some clues already being brewed within WWE storylines as to what might happen at the 34th edition of the show.

WWE Draft may have had an impact

Indeed, the WWE Draft recently happened in which a number of superstars moved from one brand to another. These moves ultimately provided some shock moments as tag teams were broken up and individuals were given moves where they could potentially receive a fresh push on the main card.

Whilst WWE Hell In A Cell still needs to take place - which is scheduled to take place on October 25, 2020 - results from that PPV might just have an influence on what could be witnessed by fans when WWE Survivor Series comes around.

However, anyone that has watched the November event in the past will have some idea of some of the matches that could take place and, thus, it becomes a little easier to jump ahead and make a prediction about what could be witnessed at the main event. Those that like to bet on sporting events and are based in Tennessee are able to do so via some of the best TN betting apps.

Some of the matches that can be expected

Men’s Elimination Match - The traditional Team Raw vs Team Smackdown matches have taken place on an annual basis and have looked for teams to essentially gain bragging rights for their respective brands. With the draft having recently taken place, perhaps some of the newest members of each brand may compete in this contest. The match could also have the potential of becoming a triple-threat tag elimination match, as the WWE could look to include NXT, although that might be something the company consider against.

Women’s Elimination Match - As with the Men’s, the Women’s division have had their own tag team elimination contests in recent editions and it would be a surprise if this contest was not on the card. The division has continued to improve over the years and some of the biggest names could be involved, which will further add to the appeal of it being on the card.

World Champions match - Could the WWE include a Champion vs Champion vs Champion match? Of course they could, and it could be a great way to showcase who the “best” champion in the WWE is. Will they do it, though? Both Men and Women's divisions could benefit from this type of contest.

Midcard Champions Match - The Intercontinental and the United States Champions exist, so could these two compete and look to ‘Survive’ against each other? Of course, but both may be involved in their respective brands overall teams in the Elimination Tag Team Match.

Tag Team Championships - The Tag Team Championship belts should also be up for grabs on the card, although the WWE could look to see the three sets of champions from each brand go up against each other. It will be interesting to see, though, as the WWE Draft impacted heavily on The New Day.

Women’s Tag Team Championship Match - Another match that could easily appear on the 2020 WWE Survivor Series match card is a contest for the WWE Women’s Tag Team belts. The belts are defendable on each brand, therefore perhaps a team from Raw, Smackdown and NXT could look to compete in this match to win the gold?

Conclusion

Whilst it is a little early to consider what could happen, these matches - as well as some midcard fillers - would fit perfectly on the card and would certainly have WWE fans interested in the action that could happen next month. However, as we have seen before, whether the WWE provide us with a stacked card remains to be seen.
