Big Japan will hold another show in Korakuen Hall tomorrow.

Yuya Aoki will make his fourth defense of the BJW Junior Heavyweight Championship against Tatsuhiko Yoshino.

The next BJW Junior Heavyweight Championship defense will be on November 8 in Hokkaido. Then, Andy Wu will challenge for the championship on November 23 in EDION Arena Osaka.

Should Daichi Hashimoto defeat Yuji Okabayashi on October 21, he will have seven successful defenses of the BJW World Strong Heavyweight Championship.

It is worth remembering Hashimoto discussed his desire to break Daisuke Sekimoto’s record for the most successful defenses of the BJW World Strong Heavyweight Championship in an interview with Tokyo Sports last month.

Sekimoto’s current record is 10 successful defenses. Currently, Hashimoto has made six successful defenses against Okabayashi, Takuya Nomura, Sekimoto, Yasufumi Nakanoue, Akira Hyodo and Shigehiro Irie.

Hashimoto’s father, Shinya Hashimoto, was nicknamed “Mr. IWGP” for breaking the record of successful IWGP Heavyweight Championship defenses with nine (a record since broken by Yuji Nagata, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Kazuchika Okada). Hashimoto hopes to become “Mr. Strong” by breaking Sekimoto’s record.

The full Tokyo Sports article can be read here.

Ironically, the next BJW World Strong Heavyweight Championship challenger will be Sekimoto himself on November 23 in EDION Arena Osaka.

Masaya Takahashi pinned Minoru Fujita on September 14. As a result, he is challenging Fujita for the BJW Deathmatch Heavyweight Championship tomorrow.

Fujita defeated Ryuji Ito to win the championship on August 29. Tomorrow’s show will be his first defense.
